Zero Stars, Avoid
Gruff manner, but that’s ok if a doctor does his job. He sent me for an MRI and disappeared, doesn’t respond to calls, MyChart messages, or urgent emails from his staff who have tried to gain his attention on my behalf several times. At this point I’m left making an appointment with a new doctor and waiting another month, while in pain. It appears this guy couldn’t care less.

Definitely would recommend going to someone else
Rushed…no bedside manor. Recommend surgery after 2 seconds. Definitely will not go back, if needed. First time in a long time that I felt a doctor was terrible.

Poor medical practitioner and poor communicator.
Very rarely do I offer a review as one wants to be fair to a doctor --especially if he/she is having an off day. Sadly, every day seems to be an off day for this doctor. He makes the absolute minimum effort. Does not thoughtfully offer or discuss best options. Ignores more conservative options and goes right to surgery.(His kind, thoughtful nurse does try to make up for his failures and offer alternatives)He is rude, uncaring and a poor communicator. Deeply disappointing. And NOT recommended.

Worst medical experience
I went to him for metatarsalgia, and he told me I'd need bunion surgery. After my first follow up visit, he rewrapped my foot...I went home and later on had shooting pain, so I rewrapped it myself. At the next visit, I told him about my experience. His response, "Well, that shouldn't have happened." Alarm bells in my head: BUT I JUST TOLD YOU IT DID. Silly me, I thought he'd take my words into account. Nope. He wrapped the foot just as tight, and I had some of the worst pain of the entire surgical experience that night. I'm not saying that he wrapped the bandage tightly out of spite...but I'm not NOT saying it, either. As it turns out, the surgery was entirely a mistake anyway, because "fixing" the bunion didn't actually fix what was wrong with my foot. AND my new podiatrist has indicated that at some point I'll need to do a revision surgery for the bunion, because it's back. Especially if you are young and/or athletic...go with someone who will actually care about your future.

Terrible experience. I had surgery 3 years ago and I feel worse than before. I keep coming back to see him and he is always in a rush. Having surgery with him is the worse thing I’ve ever experienced. Look for other options.

I.m very happy with the surgery he performed to correct my charcot foot, chronic plantar ulcer, and osteomyelitis. He recommended surgery only after all other reasonable options had been exhausted, and was thorough in my ongoing afterare.

Dr. Giurini came highly recommended and has exceeded all expectations. He was recommended as the best on the northeast. I came to him with double Charcot joint syndrome. We are half way through the process and I couldn't be happier with the care, communication and expertise of my surgeon. For something this complicated I wouldn't go to anyone else. I am now one of the numerous people singing his praises. Thanks Doc.

Dr Giurini is the only foot doctor that I have had that takes the time to talk with you and get to the bottom of what is causing your pain. He could tell based on my scars what surgeries that I had to correct my congenital bilateral club foot. Other MD's that I had been to, who said they were foot and ankle specialists, did not understand what I was going through as a result of club foot relapse and chronic pain.
