corrective surgery needed, intense pain
Unsuccessful foot surgery with sesmoid removal. Correcting surgeon had no idea what he was attempting. Facility sent a student to do a pain block on me which was unsuccessful and unnecessary. This is not standard procedure and caused intense suffering both before and after the procedure. I didn't count but it was over twenty needle sticks. Staff attempted to remove sutures before foot was healed enough to be stable. Left in tears. Never go to the University of Iowa for orthopedics.
