Dr. Eggers performed anterior total right hip replacement October 2023. I've had zero complications from the surgery (no pain meds after first week, driving after 3 weeks, walking 3-5 miles several times per week, golf, yoga & stretching, snow ski). Cannot recommend Dr. Eggers enough - he's thorough, explains things well, has an excellent support team.

Dr.Eggers is amazing! His bedside manner is upbeat, encouraging, honest, he loves his patients! I am so glad I found him. Knee replacement is not for the weak, at my 3 week follow up I was walking without crutches and no limping it only got better from there! I am 7 months post op with no pain no limping my scar is looking good I am back to bike riding and loving life!

Dr. Eggers is a very kind and thorough physician who has taken the best care of me. I couldn't recommend him more highly. I am now 3 years out from my anterior approach hip replacement and am very pleased with my hip function and mobility. My pain in that area is virtually nonexistent and his care has made such a difference in my life.

I had my left knee replaced 7 yrs ago by someone else Dr. Eggers I way more informative about things I need to do to get back to normal. Better exercises and also gave me advice on how to massage the scar so I can kneel down on it. I am totally satisfied with the outcome of this knee has only been 4 months and already feels better than the 7 yr. old surgery

I am a 76-year-old female who had a total left hip replacement with a posterior incision on April 15th, 2024, performed by Dr. John Eggers. I followed instructions for rehab and received an excellent review at my 3-month post-operative appointment. I can do nearly everything I did before my hip became an issue. Dr. Eggers is one of the best surgeons in the Kansas City area, and I will return to him if I ever need further hip or knee joint replacement. He listens, answers questions, and provides details of what to expect. His nurse and staff are professional and caring. I was always comfortable with Dr. Eggers's recommendations. His expertise, quality patient care, and trust level are what you want from your surgeon. My outpatient surgery was performed at North Kansas City Hospital, and I was well-satisfied with the care I received there. I highly recommend Dr. John Eggers.

Dr Eggers performed my total knee replacement in January 2024. He and his team are terrific! He was very thorough in his explanation of my condition requiring the TKR, how the procedure would be performed, what I could expect post procedure and provided clear documentation on post surgery home care & exercises. Post surgery his team responded quickly, thoroughly & compassionately to any & all questions.

Thanks to the doc and his and NKC Hospital staff for doing such a great job helping me get my knee replaced. While the doc has high standards before doing a surgery, it’s because he is minimizing risks, such as infection. I so appreciate him and his skill. I got full range of motion quickly and it’s doing great (4 months now). Recommend him!

Dr Eggers was very concerned about my condition. I needed a total knee replacement 1.5 years after my initial replacement. Dr. Eggers was very concerned about the trauma I had experienced with all of the surgeries to my knee. He took the time to explain what he would do to correct past surgeries, why he was using a particular replacement and how my recovery would go. He was very kind, understanding and listened to my questions.

I want to thank Dr John Eggers for the excellent care that I received when getting my knee replacement. (July 20, 2022) Dr Eggers is very thorough, first making sure that I was a good candidate for surgery, even instructing me on exercises to begin prior to surgery and also therapy to help me recover quickly. Dr. Eggers carefully explained everything that would happen, even sent me a video showing the surgery. The staff in the office and at the Surgical Center were outstanding! From the minute I walked into the Surgical Center for my pre-surgery training, up until my last appointment, I received the BEST care! And I especially appreciated that after each appointment, by the time I got home, I would have an email detailing the appointment, what we discussed and giving me any further instructions to help me. I definitely recommend Dr Eggers for anyone needing a new knee. I am thrilled with mine!!

Dr. Eggers is a very smart and highly skilled surgeon. He communicates clearly and explains things very well. He listens intently. He performed my hip replacement surgery and I can't believe how smooth and easy it went. He also has a friendly and competent team around him. Had TKR one year ago and I am doing excellent. Dr. Eggers did an excellent job, has great bedside maner, took time to discuss questions with me, very friendly, but best yet an excellent surgeon. My knee was in bad shape and he had to do more work than first thought but it turned out great. At 67 years of age I can move without a limp.
