THE Prototype Doctor
A gentleman doctor. Soft by reassuring voice, actually listens and cares. I will not hesitate to recommend him nor will I see another neurosurgeon to take care of the rest of my lower back problems. I crawled into his office on Thursday and the following Tuesday morning I was first go on his schedule. I couldn't have made it much longer and the relief was nearly miraculous. Day 3 after surgery was tough, but the remainder of the time it was just normal (not aspirin) pain pills. Can't say it enough, knowledgeable, personable and spiritual - the doc they all should be!

My feeling about this doctor was overwhelmingly positive. He's sincerely caring, attentive to your concerns, and very knowledgeable. He spent *much* more time with me than other specialists I've seen, and found some crucial, potentially life-changing issues on the imaging that others had missed. Doesn't put on airs or come at you in an authoritarian way; he carries himself with the rare kind of quiet certainty and genuineness that comes from lots and lots of professional experience. He's clearly a religious man (it's all over the office walls), but not in an obnoxious or preachy way; rather the kind of unassuming faith that leads to compassion and focus. Would 100% recommend to anyone. There are some doctors I've seen that are so rushed and inattentive that I'd be terrified to have them anywhere near me with a scalpel; Crutchfield is the exact opposite of that, exactly the sort of service-minded expert you'd want looking after you. The office staff was also super-helpful and friendly.

Excellent care/Dr. with faith/integrity
10 years ago, at the age of 67, Dr. Crutchfield performed my back surgery, fusing L4 -L5 (along with correcting a few other issues). And I am so happy to report I have had NO back issues since that surgery! I required NO post-op PT and needed NO pain meds! I am so thankful for the wonderful expertise and care I received from Dr. Crutchfield!

Dr Crutchfield was kind, really cares about his patients literally from the first visit. he is a Christian man and even will pray with you if you want. He's very thorough in his questions so make sure you answer honestly now matter how embarrassing it may be. They help him more than you know. I had a discectomy and a malunectomy decompression on my L4 L5. im going on 4 years now with no problems. I couldn't nor wouldn't ever use anyone else. 26 years plus specializing in spinal issues helped make my decision.

Dr Crutchfield and his staff have the most professional, kind and helpful medical office I have ever worked with. Dr Crutchfield operated on my back a year ago and I feel great. I have full confidence in his ability and I went into his care fully informed by him and his staff. It is hard to find a great surgeon with an equally great bedside manner and staff.
