Great Caring Person!!!
Dr. Cornett was my doctor for over 15 yrs while I lived in Mechanicsville...his Uncle Dr. O.O. Smith was my doctor here in Southwestern Virginia when I was growing up. They don't come any better....super caring and friendly!!!! I really miss seeing him since moving back to Abingdon in 2016.

Excellent Doctor
I decided to make a change from my other Doctor because Dr. John Cornett was recommended by a couple of friends. I am glad to say it has been great very helpful and they are quick to see you I only wait a few minutes. From the time I go in at 9am they are done by 9:30am that's taking blood work as well. Every one from staff to nurses are awesome.

A Great GP!!!
I am 68 and Dr. Cornett is my sixth primary care physician & the best of all of them. I cannot recommend him any higher. Dr. Cornett takes the time to know his patients as individuals. The personal, warm, friendly, reassuring, & caring approach he brings to practicing medicine is (I fear) increasingly hard to find in today’s world. Dr. Cornett is not judgmental or rigid & works with the patient to bring out a desirable health outcome. I may feel bad physically when I leave his office, but I always feel good about both my interaction with Dr. Cornett and the quality of the care he has given me. I moved to Virginia in 2018 and I’m very, very grateful to have found Dr. Cornett as my primary care physician. And how very convenient that my blood samples can be drawn on-site!

I recently came to Dr. Cornett as a new patient. He Is knowledgeable, thorough, prompt and compassionate. He really listens to you and weighs his decisions carefully. I cannot say enough good about Dr Cornett, he has got this patient for life!
