Excellent physician
I am a retired ob/gyn physician and ended with terrible back ache from bending during surgery. Dr. Colins provided excellent care an so thankful to him.

Pompous Arrogance
What a horrendous experience with Dr. Collins at Maryland Spine and Sports Medicine. My son and I waited for almost an hour past our appointment time and instead of being apologetic (like normal people) first comment from Dr. Collins as he walks in: "My time is very valuable" to which I responded everybody's time is valuable and his response, you can leave if you want to - this is the 30 sec conversation with Dr Collins. off course my son and I left immediately. The pompous arrogance he exudes is unbelievable. If this is how he interacts with patients I can only imagine how he would treat them. Good learning experience for my son about pompousness, arrogance and God complex.

Dr. Collins seems to have an attitude problem with his patients. He does not seem to realize he is supposed to be there to listen to and answer questions. He just about completely ignored what I had to say, trying to say I had no pain when he wasn’t the one feeling it. No I was not there for pain pills as I refuse to take them. He walked out of the examining room before I had explained what was going on. He made a sarcastic comment to me on his way out which I only partially heard. I will be looking for another doctor. I don’t know what happened to Dr. Collins as he had been very good prior to this. I thought it might be a one off day but other online reviews indicate otherwise.

If I could rate my experience with Dr Collins as a zero, I would. Friendly office staff and nice facilities absolutely do not make up for the incompetence of this physician. I was referred to Dr Collins from my primary care team because of a chronic issue with my foot, ankle, and calf. I came prepared with test results and a detailed chronology of my injury. After talking to me for five minutes, he did an exam and determined that I had no physical ailment. This man did not listen to me, look at

I've been going to Dr. Collins for many years for scoliosis pain and horse related injuries. Every time I go he takes his time and makes sure he understands the pain and where it is coming from. 99% of the time I am pain free the day after my shot. 1% of the time it takes 2 days. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Collins did not fully listen or emphasize with my concerns or pain. He completely ignore my sciatic symptoms and complaints, and after only treating the back through facet shots which did not work, pushed surgery instead of offering nerve blocks which have previously worked at another practice.
