Dr. John Chidester, MD

Saw Dr. Chidester for a sore knee. He took X-rays of the knee(s) and determined I had no arthritis in my knee. However he decided (without any testing) that I had water on the knee and it needed to be 'drained.' I consented to this, never knowing how painful it would be. The procedure was very painful but I endured it until he hit something in my knee which caused me excruciating pain and I yelled at him to STOP!! I was shocked at how much pain he caused and he asked me if I could sit up, because clearly knew he had hurt me. I did and asked for ice for the pain and he and his nurse turned me down. He ordered an MRI of the knee which I had to wait over a month to get. It showed a complex tear of the meniscus. I have no idea if that was there before he stabbed me trying to drain my knee (and he got zero fluid out). I would NEVER see this doctor again. My knee has hurt more than before I saw him and I'm still icing it 10 months after seeing him.

Dr. Chidester was excellent. I came in with severe elbow pain. He did a physical exam, explained my condition, reviewed & explained my x-ray at a level that I understood & gave me a painless injection of Cortizone. I felt immediate relief following my appointment. Thank you.

Below average experience. You need to tell the remedy, help with a recovery plan, not an “I don’t know”! Most of the Rothman group of doctors I met are useless. Waste of time and money.
