Traumatic brain injury
Dr. Cane is treating my son in the hospital. When my son was taken to the hospital emergency room because of a fall onto concrete, he was nonresponsive. Dr Cane ordered tests to discover the problem. Dr. Cane told me he has brain bleed. He explained the procedure he recommended and why that was best for him. Dr. Cane has kept me informed of his progress and also any other procedures he needs. I feel like my son is in the hands of a competent and skilled neurosurgeon. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing expert neurological care.

Today I have appointment with Dr John Cain and I am pleased with this visit.Professional and kind explaining in details the MRI CD.I ask a lot of questions and patiently he listens and explains each of one.Over all was a good visit and I left better person , healthier.Thank you Dr.Cain for your kindness.

Very kind and knowledgeable
Saw me in the hospital i couldn't make it to the apoointment by condition worsen. He explained everything and I feel so much better. Basically a second start.

Absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Cane. His incompetence, lack of experience and expertise resulted in my mother’s disability. During the first surgery, Dr. Cane cut a nerve in her cerebellum, which controls all of the coordinating muscle movements in the body. After 3 more brain surgeries, and 2 and a half months of being in the ICU, my mother left the hospital not being able to do any basic skills. It has been 2 years since the surgery, she still is not able to go to the bathroom on her own, eat solid food, or use a phone to call her family and friends. This doctor destroyed my mother’s life, and has left the rest of our family extremely heartbroken. This doctor's license should be revoked. The worst part is, these doctors are so well protected by the facilities, no lawyer is willing to help. If anyone can help in any sort of way, please contact me (516) 361-4746

Dr. John Cain is very professional, attentive and knowledgeable. Before the surgery, he spoke with me and my family, he answered all the questions clearly. After the surgery he has had a very good follow-up. In Dr Cain's office everyone is kind, especially Nurse Elizabeth. Thanks Dr Cain and all his team
