Dr. John Brockenbrough, MD

Not only is the doctor fantastic at what he does, he is also caring and compassionate. My 98-year-old father needed to have a large facial tumor removed. It was growing so rapidly we were beside ourselves. He stepped up and worked a super long day to fit us in at the end and quite easily save my dad for an immense amount of pain and suffering. I can't thank him enough!

After reviewing the visit summary, I had to let my other doctors know specific information that Dr. Brokenborough got wrong. He doesn’t listen and he doesn’t tell you what he’s about to do to you. He just comes at you with the equipment. he also made disparaging comments about me in the summary I would not recommend him to anybody. I’m so happy I read it For an ENT to make a mistake about seeing tonsils where there are none… and that’s just one mistake No, he doesn’t pay attention. He seems to be in his own little world.

He performed septoplasty for my 17 year old’s deviated septum last year. I trusted the doctor’s judgement and expertise from the first consultation. He provided options to us and we chose surgery. My son didn’t know what he was missing prior to surgery. He said it was life changing that he can now breathe freely. Dr. Brockenbrough instilled confidence in us from start to finish! I highly recommend!

Outstanding diagnosis, cancer surgery, and treatment by Dr. Brockenbrough and his ENT and Evergreen Teams. Communications and planning were clear, responsive, and caring. Imaging for diagnosis and surgery to remove a cancerous parotid gland and neck dissection were executed flawlessly. Dr. Brockenbrough got an outside pathology analysis of my rare type of cancer cells to confirm that radiation treatment was not needed.

We went to Dr. Brockenbrough for my 19-year-old son's ongoing throat infections and disrupted sleep. Dr. Brockenbrough was amazing--he connected with my son on a real level and was straightforward about options. His office was able to schedule the tonsillectomy soon after our initial consult (the office was also great to work with). We were well informed about the procedure and felt supported during the recovery. My son is one month out of surgery and the difference in his health and energy is remarkable. We were in excellent hands the whole way.

Staff makes costly mistakes. As a new patient, I was told to go ahead and get a bogus parathyroid Contrast CT. So I drove the images to his office 2 weeks before the visit. On the first visit, he had not/could not open them. When he finally could read them, said that neither set of images were "diagnostic" Dr. needs to read images and order them to be downloaded a day or so BEFORE the visit. Office people need clear instructions about what images the Dr. will accept.

I had a consultation with this dr in the end of 2019 in evergreen Kirkland. Dude spent 15minutes talking about his HS aged son while shoving metal rods into my nose without warning. He claimed the large nasal and throat lesions I had were an infection and I should continue the antibiotics I was already on for a year. He became visibly upset when I asked for a tissue biopsy in case it was on the wrong antibiotics and ended the visit without answering my questions or worries. My symptoms have worsened and I will be seeing a new ent who probably has customer service skills. I was raised around drs and he wants to be a full time surgeon away from the patients.

Was recently referred to Brockenbrough by my general doctor. He was condescending when I told him the only thing that helped was prednisone and said that won't help but had no suggestion. He asked "Do you want plastics stuffed up your nose for a month because I can do surgery but that's all that can be done". Obviously only interested in making money from surgery!! His front office was just as rude for checking in. Worst doctor I have visited but got treatment from a good ENT at UW Medical and sorry I wasted my time on Brockenbrough!!!!

This ENT doctor is clueless. His only recommendation is surgery which 2nd and third opinions contradict. He has no solutions, gives obviously wrong and nonsensical answers and becomes combative and angry when questioned. I recommend looking elsewhere as this is one of the 2 worst doctors I have seen

BEST DOCTOR EVER! He spent so much time with us and reassured us about our sons surgery. My son was only 2 when he needed his tonsils removed and I knew exactly who I would trust. He takes all of his own calls whether he is on call or not and that is rare and amazing. As someone who works in healthcare, I knew as soon as I met him that he was one to keep!

I've been a patient of Dr. Brockenbrough for three years. I am a nurse and expect exceptional standards from my physicians. He is compassionate, intelligent, and thorough. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Brockenbrough has such calming presence about him that makes you feel immediately comfortable. He explained the procedure I will need and let me make the choice. Once I made the decision, everything was a breeze. Dr. Brockenbrough was excellent with his surgical skills and I am feeling so much better now. Thank you Dr. Brockenbrough!

Dr. Brockenbrough was such a wonderful doctor. He explained all options that were available to me before my thyroidectomy. And I am so glad he performed the surgery because there was cancer in the thyroid. He is very engaging and I felt so comfortable with him before and after the surgery. Taz, who is Dr. Brockenbrough's assistant is so helpful and informative about all the pre and post surgery procedures. She has a great personality makes herself available for all questions.

My husband went to Dr. Brockenbrough for throat cancer and without the urgency placed by Dr. Brockenbrough to expedite my husband's treatment, he may not have had the success he's had thus far. We are grateful for all Dr. Brockenbrough has done, on many levels.
