Unprofessional and incompetent.

Love Dr Bordiuk and his staff, unfortunately he has just converted his practice to concierge practice and is requested $2500 per year for an individual which is rather high.

Would be a good drinking buddy ...
Great guy to talk to ... but rather ineffectual. Every issue I had hoped to get some help with I did not. He gave me numbers to call myself none of which accepted insurance. I was, of course, welcome to book another appointment with him to discuss. It seems (as some reviewers have suggested) that there is some financial pressure. I felt there was a mercenary aspect to his approach.

While the office is lovely and clean and quiet, the rest goes downhill from there. The front desk help is barely competent - could not clearly answer any questions. (Even the doctor admitted to my husband that the woman was doing a bad job). Dr Bordiuk was very nice, and probably a smart guy, but he barely discussed my lab results or medical history with me at my physical but instead took up my time discussing his favorite swimming places in the area! My husband had the same experience, but was told a bunch of bad jokes. Infuriating. Neither of us will be returning.

Dr. Bordiuk used to be WONDERFUL when it come to practicing the Art of Medicine. Fabulously intuitive and attentive. Some things have changed since he opened his private practice. (see the additional review). I have had issues getting referrals outside of network and also treatment. I still believe in Dr. B. and hope he finds it in his heart to cultivate his gifts - his ability to practice the art of medicine above and beyond the business of medicine.

Dig deep Dr. B. I know you can do it. – Jun 06, 2021

Super smart doctor with great bedside manner. Uses functional medicine and natural remedies along with prescriptions when needed. Dr. B went above and beyond during my recent COVID19 scare- he took my calls after hours and on the weekend, provided reassurance during a frightening time. Dr. B and his staff are caring, responsive and professional. I like the small office because they really get to know you and care.

Went to him for 4 years - only for my yearly physical and every year it was some kind of add-on attempt. First year, I suddenly had a heart murmur....never before...so I must go get an echocardiogram. Never heard about it since. I had a $250 Vitamin D test (that was after insurance). I should have an HIV test and a Hepatitis C test because of the year I was born. One year after a pap test then a urine test....there was a trace a blood in my urine...could I come back and repeat it? Next year because I requested switching the order around, low and behold on my pap test they didn't get enough cells, could I come back and repeat. Now at the time the doctor commented how healthy my cells looked. I had a bacteria culture test suddenly sprung on me. Supposedly I needed it and yes my insurance doesn't cover it. It's time to move on!!!!!

I’ve been a patient of John’s for years. There was a time when he was great, but I’ve seen the quality of care I receive drop significantly. I get the sense that running a private practice is far more expensive than he initially anticipated. With insurance reimbursement often cutting appointment coverage off at a 15 minute visit, he seems to rush through appointments. He also fills some of the time with either jokes or some type of self aggrandizing story like training at the same time and place as Dr. Oz. This leaves you maybe 5 minutes to ask questions, or you’re instructed to book another appointment. He loves a puzzle, but once he thinks he’s got you figured out he seems to get bored and tune out. I’ve gone back with new symptoms that he dismisses, but when blood work comes in, it turns out that I’m not just experiencing stress, but rather my blood counts are off. He can be very dismissive and sometimes quite socially awkward. I would no longer recommend him to others.
