Dr. Berra did a great job replacing my hip, but he said my leg was 12mm short from my other leg. Never bothered me. Didn't limp. He lengthened it. Evidently he didn't double check it in surgery, because now it is around an inch too long. I can no longer go barefoot because I have to either bend my right knee or go up on the ball of my left foot. I put extra insoles in my left shoe now to be able to walk correctly. My left hip still needs replaced. When he saw me in the hospital I told him he could just fix it when he did my left hip. So when I went in for my check up I was completely shocked at his behavior. He acted like he was checking it, and said it looked even. Except he didn't have me stand barefoot to evaluate it. He put my ankles together Not looking at my legs. He looked from my ankles down. He didn't lengthen it from my ankles, he lengthened it from my hip. (He thought I would fall for that. Then he said well you limped before didn't you.(I was walking with a cane because of the severe pain.) But No I didn't limp my whole life before hip pain. He had never even seen me before hip symptoms. Then he literally ran out of the room, turning while running out telling me to take out my insoles. He could have fixed it when he did my other hip, but after the gaslighting appointment I wasn't going back to him again. I was very shocked and disappointed in his behavior. It could have been avoided if he would have double checked it in surgery.

I am in more pain than before I met Dr Berra
Nothing went right. On the table for more than 5 hours. He didn’t have the right size implant on hand. He pounded on the implant for 3 hours, trying to get it into my femur. I fear he has caused permanent nerve damage. Now, I need a revision surgery. Would not recommend him to anyone
