Pompous, dogmatic, rude doctor. I’ve seen him numerous times despite my gut feelings that his negative bedside manner supports his lack of knowledge & professionalism.

Horrible! The worst doctor ever! Don’t go to him. Last time, I went to see him he was extremely rude. He has a God like complex and doesn’t listen to patients. He ordered a ct scan with contrast which I’m allergic to and I ended up having a true allergic reaction to it. He then ordered me another ct scan knowing I have a severe allergy to it. Not to mention his very painful breast exams.

This is my first visit with Dr. Ayers. He was very thorough, asking a lot of questions. He made several helpful suggestions to improve my health. He takes a conservative approach, making sure that tests support the need for more aggressive treatment.

My mom was told on the phone by Ayers she had 1-2 years to live, maybe more, maybe less. Before biopsy. We were terrified. She lived much longer and for 2 weddings, law and grad school graduations. But, we first had so much wasted time terrified after Dr. Ayers' poor choice to give such news on the phone with no explanation. I'm thankful for Dr. Chin and Doctors at MD Anderson who gave her the tools to boost her spirit to fight and truly live her life. My mom beat cancer despite Ayers.

Dr. Ayers saved my life. As an oncologist he works with cancer patients who need chemo, patients who are at risk for recurrence and/or who are already in later stages battling for their lives. A patient truly needs him to be honest and not sugar coat things (be brutally honest about potential side effects & efficacy of chemo) but also be kind, incredibly smart, and open to options - all things Dr. Ayers is. He truly tries to cure every patient he has by using the best care possible. Great doc!

Dr. Ayers is an extremely negative doctor. He weekly performed a horribly painful breast exam & I could feel his fingers between my ribs. He did not approve of cold Caps during chemotherapy & even ran his fingers through my hair while he was listening to my lungs through my back & asked “Is this your hair?” Strange! He also went on and on how all of my nails would fall off due to Taxol in gory detail even though I used Memorial Sloan nail cooling protocol. My nails never fell off. Stay away!

I have breast cancer. At my first appointment with Dr. Ayers, he pulled out a tape measure and with accompanying sighs, he measured the exterior of my breast and stated my tumor was 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches. However, he already had the results of a diagnostic x-ray and ultrasound. Upon leaving his office, I ordered the results of my tests. My tumor was less than an inch (specifically less than 2 cm.). He is not trustworthy. I no longer see him.
