Dr. Johannes Blom, MD

This doctor ruined my life 11 years ago after doing a partial hip replacement without giving us any options. At the time. I've been living in a nightmare. My pain has now gone into my leg calf and foot. I've been suffering for 11 to 12 years from this surgery that he performed. I now see him saying he's an expert in shoulders. I don't even see anything about hip surgery that he specializes in. I was in the ER and he was the only doctor available. He shouldn't have given us options so we can make better decisions on what kind of doctor I would have wanted to operate on me. Stay away from home. Please do your research

The doctor wasGreat. No complaints with him yet. The staff on the other hand is awful. The front desk person isNice. The before care/coordination was awful. I had to do the footwork to get the paperwork through the insurance. TheCoordinator said they had to get a note fromMy insurance statingNo pre-authorization is needed. I had to remind the coordinator a couple of times to send thPaperwork to me. After the surgery I received Follow up calls to see how I was doing. Each time they asked About different Types Of surgeries. I had a patella reconstructive surgery. One Time they asked about my knee replacement. Another they asked About a hip surgery. Just today I was askedAbout my shoulder. When I told them I Didn’t have anything Done To My shoulder they said Well you had Surgery didn’t You. ISaid Yes but not on My shoulder. She then said oh it was the knee and hip. I then said evidently no one there can get recordsStraight and I wouldTalk to the doctor thursda

This review is for the staff at Galvez and Blom. It took 45 minutes and being hung up on 5 times to speak to someone who told me I was lying and was not hung up on. Then she told me "she couldn't deal with me". I cannot review the skills or professionalism of the physicians as I was not able to get past their staff. I work in the medical field, and I would never allow my staff to speak to a patient in this manner. Patients are contacting this physician due to illness, pain or injury and treating them in this manner is unacceptable.

Had a scheduled appointment planned 3 weeks ahead of time. They called 30 minutes before my appointment as I was walking out the door and cancelled. Next appointment time....4 weeks away. Going with an office that respects my time.

Dr Blom and his assistant were the most accommodating ,informative , and understanding my situation,, BUT his staff were the most unprofessional , unorganized in any profession I ever seen ,, I had to have an operation for my shoulder ,, they cancelled the first hospital appointment, on the 14 of January,, giving an excuse that the hospital is not operating, I called the hospital and they were operating ,, then Ms Trish gave me a different excuse ,,,, Now has been 10 weeks and no communication with me even though I have called over 6 times and left messages to call me back till now I have not got a call ,, has been almost three month since my first visit in December of 2021 ,, The Dr may be great but his staff are to pits ,,

The absolute worst surgeon I've ever met. My knee injury is far worse after the surgery than prior to. Would never recommend him to anyone else.

Went to Blom's office with rotator cuff problem. A nurse saw me. Nurse and front desk staff said I needed referral for cortizone injection & they would contact my insurance. Weeks went by; no referral. Gave up & asked my PCP to refer me to someone else. He did. Wasted at least 3 weeks for Blom's staff to move. The shoulder still is painful (still must go to new doctor).

Stop with these negative comments. Your progressive recovery is yours to win. Not this surgeon. He is exceptional. He can operate on me and everyone I know. Thank you Dr.

Straight up a great To tor and courteous office staff

This doctor ruined my life. 8 years ago I ended up in the Dr and he was the doctor available. He did a partial hip replacement on a 60 year old and did it from the back. Not offering any other option. I'm in chronic pain for 8 years Stay away from this doctor

After my appointment I was happy with Dr Blom and and the staffs care and treatment. It was a busy day and I had to wait over 2 hours but it happens.

Dr Blom may be a good doctor but I canceled my next appointment with him to to his nasty on caring Front office staff. I am 81 years old and I have never in all my years met anyone working for a doctor with such a cold disgusting attitude. They never offered to call if they had a cancellation or would they allow me to speak to anyone that could explain my mri results to me instead I was told to wait three weeks. Because of that I chose to go to another doctor

Great doctor!! He answered all the questions I had . I was surprised of how nice and down to earth he was! Cannot say the same about other orthopedic doctors . Overall I feel better thank you Dr.Blom!

Friendly staff, always a great environment, very detail in conditions and all staff members show concern. Makes it pleasurable to be here.
