I took a loved one to Dr. Lerner for help with bipolar disorder and he prescribed them an unbelievable amount of benzos. Why does he even treat adults? Oh yea the money!

Do not ever trust your health or the health of your loved one to this angry person. He gets offended if questions are asked. Very condescending and arrogant. Money is first conversation, his main focus, and you will never know what you'll be charged each hour. He won't even see you without getting a credit card to keep on file.

I was impressed by Dr. Lerner's ability to assess and work with me regarding my situation. He was professional with a good sense of humor. He also was very easy to work with and quite compassionate.

I saw him as a parent before my child's appt.Though he insisted I complete 5 pg. of info. prior to the appt., he asked why I was there. At $400/hour I didn't want to repeat all that I written. He seemed odd as I answered questions regarding personal info. about our family. At the end of our appt., I asked who I should make the check out to, him, or his practice? He said "You should make it out to my wife. She likes not going through the middleman. She gets all the money anyway." Unprofessional.
