A Doctor Who Tells You Positive Thjngs
Dr. Hunter restored my faith in doctors. I have extreme anxiety about diagnosis and feel that negative news can cause further ailments. Dr. Hunter is so funny and sweet and sings while he performs surgery. He is a fellow nerd, and I love him. If you're scared of surgery, this is your surgeon. You'll feel so loved and special and you can tell him how scared you are.

I went for a consultation with Hunter Vision back in October 2019 for LASIK in both eyes. Fast forward to August 2020 and I reached out again to Hunter Vision, who had lowered the cost by $2000+ (I'm assuming due to COVID) and was able to get me scheduled for surgery for the following week. I went in for a follow-up the day before surgery to make sure nothing had changed in the 7 months since my initial consultation, only to find out I was no longer a candidate for LASIK. Dr. Hunter informed me that I had keratoconus and he couldn't help me with my vision. He went on to say there wasn't yet a procedure developed to handle a case like mine and literally walked out of the room while telling me he was sorry. Thankfully I sought out a second opinion and had the Visian ICL procedure done with Herschel LASIK last week and I'm now glasses free. No thanks to Hunter Vision, who just blew me off! Just because he has radio ads does not mean he is the best! Get a second opinion for sure!

Dr Hunter did LASIK vision correction on me about 7 years ago. During the procedure the machine paused and had to start again. That same eye was never close to the other eye after surgery, even though the difference was slight before. Dr Hunter was very kind, but at my follow up he checked both eyes and said “we missed some”. I could not afford the steep difference in price to buy the “lifetime” plan. It took me a year to save up for this. I understand things happen, but he should have corrected such an immediate issue at no cost. I had a relative scheduled at his office, and we canceled due to my issue. He and his staff were the nicest people ever. I just would expect more pride in workmanship. Instead of just hiding behind a lifetime option to deny fixing an obvious mistake. As a man, best guy you’ll ever meet. Longtime friend with his father, and late brother.
