After a year of icing and sciatica pain, I just completed lower back, minimally invasive scope surgery with Dr. Joel Beckett at DISC surgery center. The outpatient surgery went well, and there was immediate pain relief with no complications. The brand-new surgery center is state of the art and Dr. Beckett and his entire staff were incredible. Many doctors at his level are always in a hurry, but this was not the case at my initial meeting with Dr. Beckett. I was impressed how much personal time he spent detailing every aspect of my problem and how the surgery would benefit me. I had surgery on September 6th 2023 for s-scoliosis, total spinal fusion and 41 staples later it's a miracle!! It's been a long journey and lots of rest. But Dr. Beckett gave me my life back! Now I can walk a mile without sitting! And I can stand and play my guitar with my strap on! These are things I couldn't do at all. I'm so very impressed with his focus, he laid out completely what to expect and how difficult it would be in the beginning, so I was prepared to meet the challenge. I originally saw Dr. Beckett due to severe and debilitating nerve pain stemming from a herniated disc at the L4-L5 level. Dr. Beckett immediately prescribed an MRI and subsequent microdiscectomy all within a short period of time. The surgery was a huge success as the pain was completely eliminated and my recovery is proceeding accordingly to plan. Dr. Beckett was patient and clear all along the way and has always made himself available to answer questions and explain things to me whenever necessary.

I had a previous spinal surgery that was no longer working. I was in terrible pain, couldn't stand up straight and had to use a walker to get around. My original neurosurgeon didn't want to operate on me again. His answer was to insert a pain pump. But, my back was getting increasingly worse at a rapid rate and I was already taking 9 pain pills a day. Dr. Beckett looked at my xrays and said, "Sure, I can fix that." And he did. After surgery, I am now out of pain, take no medications and can walk upright without any walking devices. I highly recommend Dr. Beckett. He's my hero!

Dr. Beckett is a great doctor! He’s very understanding and listens to your concerns. He takes time with the patient to help them with their health issues! Dr. Beckett is extremely professional: he takes time to listen and time to explain. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist.

I had a RCC tumor on my T-10 Vertebrae. Dr Beckett removed this very dangerous tumor. My vertebrae was 2/3rds gone. A miracle I didnt lose use of my legs Thanks to Dr Beckett. The newest carbon fiber material bracing my spine has allowed me to walk and get around in 2 months like the old me. I am so Grateful to Dr Beckett and his team. He knows what he's doing.
