Dr. Joanne Cheung, MD

Wanted to put me on a statin without suggesting dietary changes first - my cholesterol was not even elevated to the point of needing one. Also, very pushy with flu shots. Argued with me when I said no and gave valid reasons for not wanting it.

Everytime I see Dr. Cheung, she carefully listens to everything I have to say. She never rushes and explains everything with detail. She is so kind and nice, which is a rare thing nowadays. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a primary doctor.

I moved to FL 2 years ago. I desperately miss my internist- Dr Joanne Cheung. I started with her right when she began at DuPage Medical. She has the best bedside manor, and is so easy to talk to about anything. She doesn't pass judgment, give lectures, or act like she doesn't have time for you. She LISTENS to her patients, and believes what they are telling her regarding symptoms, especially when someone has some unresolved chronic issues. She really helped me get to the bottom of why I was so fatigued, and had periods of body aches and hurting . I have been a RN for many more years then she has been a MD, and I have worked with and seen many MD's. She is by far, one of the best!

I have recommended Dr. Cheung to many friends who are just as happy with her as I am. She always has time for my questions. She is very kind, listens well and truly cares about her patients. I think she is an excellent physician.

Dr Cheung has been my physician for over 12 or 13 years. I am 65 years old and have had many Dr's over the years and Dr. Cheung has been, and still one of the best. She is a kind caring very intuitive physican. Dr Cheung is very informative and is very tuned into her patients. Her staff is also very polite and courteous. In my opinion she is aces over Queens :)

Dr Cheung is an exceptional physician and has been my doctor for 9 years. I have multiple complex, often life threatening medical conditions which she has helped me in a most gracious manner to manage. When necessary she is always aware of who best to refer me to. She communicates and listens well and is an excellent diagnostician. I hope and pray she continues to remain my doctor for a long time. I truly feel like I won the medical jackpot when I found her. Highly recommend.
