Dr. Joan Altman-Neumann, MD

This was the first obgyn I ever saw. I was feeling anxious. Dr. Altman-Neumann had no compassion when I said how scared I was and that what she was doing hurt. I had recurrent UTI like symptoms and no infection in my urine. She said this had to be an STI! She ran all the tests and freaked me out. Came back negative. Kept having pain and uti like symptoms. Later, a different obgyn & uro diagnosed me with IC and PFD. 2 chronic pains disorders. NOT an STI. To top it all off, I was running low on a medication and needed a refill. I was not told I needed to come in for it to refilled. I called, Dr. Altman answered the phone herself. She yelled at me, told me I was naive, young, and should’ve known better & to schedule an appointment sooner. I thought I had to call for a med refill, I had no idea. Told me my family should have prepared me. I started crying at this point because I have no one left… I got my prescription elsewhere. She is the worst! NEVER see this doctor!!!! It was traumatic.

Dr. Neuman is an alarmist and very neurotic. She has a person to do sonograms but then she does NOT have a radiologist to read them. She read my sonogram and really did not know what she was talking about. She had me go for an MRI that was not necessary and really scared me. I would never recommend her. Her office is unprofessional and does not answer the phones. Too many good Doctors out there to settle for this.

I’ve been on the seatch for a OBGYN for a while and I’ve found the perfect doctor for me.Such an amazing office! Little to no wait time! The staff at the office was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Joan is amazing and gave me so much information and made sure all of my questions were answered. she actually listened to me and my concerns and gave me top notch treatment and advice. She was very gentle and has excellent bedside manners. She truly cares about her patients and is very sweet. 10/10 recommend you to switch your OBGYN and come to her!

Excellent doctor, thorough, experienced and up-to-date. She is the best doctor I have seen in her specialty.

She was fine at first until one appt I had come in for birth control and was told my pap was due. At this point I hadn’t seen the doc yet just the assistant. I told her I just started my period so it’s heavy so I’ll come in next week to do it. She said okay she’ll let the doc know. I hear her go and tell her outside the exam room door and her response was uh no she’s going to get it done... She comes in I repeat to her why not and she makes a big fuss about it. I’m sitting there surprised at her poor bedside manner and why she isn’t just respecting my comfort level. After a long back and forth with her I don’t get it done. I do come in next week just because to try and find another doc at this point will mean and even longer delay in getting the Pap. Needless to say after that appt I have never gone back and am on the hunt for a different doctor.

I wasn't so excited for a new dr, and I had to wait a long time in the waiting room. What I realized now is that you wait because you get so much FaceTime with the doctor! It's amazing, she never rushes and will answer every question possible, I notice this now that I am having an issue with something and it's amazing to be able to have that compassion from a doctor, her staff is awesome as well. Truly puts your safety and wellbeing first. I love her! And her new office is so new and clean!

I arrived a couple minutes past the time of my appointment so I was afraid I wasn't going to be seen however the front desk ladies were sweet and helped me out. I didn't wait long and the MA that did my intake was very informative and put me at ease. The Dr. came in and explained what was happening this visit and answered all my questions. I needed boodwork drawn and I have difficult veins but the Dr had the first MA come in and she got it first try which never happens. Thumbs up!!

I waited two hours for this doctor and wound up leaving the office without an exam but with a lecture and argument. I took my day off to see her, cancelled another appointment to fit her in because she cancelled my previous appointment and wasted an entire day. I now need to find a new gynecologist because nothing was done for me. She refused to give me birth control, which I've been on for over 15 years. Would never rerecommend her.

I have been going to this doctor for years and always found her to be a good, caring and compassionate doctor. Until now,...I am furious. I went to see her 3.5 weeks ago and needed a biopsy. the results finally came in last Friday and I have been calling for results, still waiting 3 days later for a call back with results. Unacceptable!!!!!
