Dr. Jo Marie Reilly, MD

Dr. Jo Marie Reilly, is a great doctor, she was instrumental in my journey through surviving my condition, which was diagnosed as retention due to an enlarged prostate that made my bladder septic and shut down my kidneys. She helped me navigate the difficult health care system Helped get me to the right doctors and helped me game plan on strategies to get me well again. She was caring and very knowledgeable about a lot of Medicine and procedures. I read up on all the doctors that I was scheduled to see and that I requested. Most of the doctors are quite capable but what I learned, as I navigated the health care system, is a lot of poor reviews were usually based on the administrative staff. I’ve seen good ones, poor ones and bad ones and Dr. Reilly’s staff is pretty good. I don’t think there are too many superfast staffs around unless you have great insurance. She along with her staff set up appointments for all my MRI’s, Ultrasound, Urologist, Urodynamics test, Blood tests, Etc… S

Be prepared to wait 45 Minutes. Dr Reilly is at the clinic 2 days a week (she also supervises and teaches at USC), & mentors the Doctors, assisting them as they see patients when requested. Dr. Reilly attends to her patients as if they were family friends. Once she enters the examination room, she takes the time required to discuss and order test as well as start the authorization process any additional care requires. This Dr is a Saint. To give her 1 star because reception put you on hold is a disservice to anyone in the future that may be fortunate enough to have her as their primary doctor. *In life you get few chances to have someone gifted and compassionate on your ”team.” I googled all my primary care options and selected The Eisner Family Clinic (close and not the worst rating) getting Dr. Reilly was a blessing that day. Also, after Dr Reilly tells me what kind of Dr I must see next, I always google the Specialist in my Network before having Eisner request the authorization.)

I can't speak to how Dr. Reilly is as a doctor, but if you want to make a first time appointment, good luck! I was on hold for an hour when I gave up. That's a totally unacceptable amount of time to wait to speak with a scheduler. If you're looking for an office to waste your time, then this is the one! Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

Honestly the best doctor I have ever seen! She is genuinely caring and takes the time to care for her patients. She asks questions and takes the time to answer them. You are not just a number to her, she will make eye contact with you and actually listen to you rather than dismissing with some drug to make you go away. She was not seeing patients for a while since she was supervising, so you may need to verify. All of the doctors at that facility are great, but she is going to be remembered!
