Thank goodness she is retiring. The entire practice, at any location btw, is staffed by inept “doctors” who didn’t graduate in the top 75% and I’m being generous. No call backs for anything ever. However the bullying from her np was messed up. These folks don’t care about patients and their behavior of name calling says it all. Highly recommend recording your visit.

Dr. Jo-Ellyn Ryall is one of the worst psychiatrists I've ever seen. Like others have said, I've tolerated her because it is nearly impossible to find a psychiatrist in this area. I've been seeing her for a few years and it is unbearable. First, her office staff is INEPT. This wasn't a one-time thing. It is consistent, EVERY time. Dr. Ryall herself is cold, blunt, and rude. She has, on multiple occasions, made jokes about my weight and eating disorder (I'm obese). She insists on weighing me on a scale that is in a public, common waiting area. I have witnessed her yell at her staff on multiple occasions. On multiple occasions she has made racist or racially insensitive comments about her boss and other doctors in the practice. I don't feel she listens or is providing adequate care. She spends the majority of each visit trying to type things into her computer, which she doesn't seem fluent in using. AVOID THIS DOCTOR. Honestly, do whatever it takes to find a different one.

I went to see this doctor after being bounced around from place to place and with nowhere to go. I tolerated her behavior because I needed my medication, but I can no longer tolerate this doctor. She constantly talked down to me and never corrected her bad behavior when I demonstrated that I was uncomfortable with what she was saying. Many have complained about the office staff, and I have nothing but resentment towards them for their unprofessional behavior.

I have been a patient of Dr Ryall's for three years. I have found her to be nothing but professional, empathetic and compassionate. Her manner is slightly formal, but I like that! I have no hesitation in recommending her.

I have seen Dr Ryall for about 16 years. She used to be a very caring doc and I have been stable on meds under her care. She trusts her patients. However in recent years she is very negative and spends more time in appointments talking about herself than talking about me! And since joining PsychCare Consultants, the staff is impossible to deal with. God help you if you need a rx or have to change an appt. And the few times I have left messages for Dr Ryall to call me back, she never gets them.

I have a terrible time with the staff getting my prescriptions called in to my pharmacy. I am constantly told they are doing it and my pharmacy never gets them. The last time I actually had to go to office to have them do it in front of me. I will be back there today doing the same thing.

I saw Dr. Ryall for over a year to manage my anxiety medication. I didn't care too much about the quality of her support, I just needed my prescription. However, she's clearly not keeping up with the times and I'm not going back. She made several inappropriate comments about eatings disorders (I wish I could do that for a few months!), assumed that because I wasn't wasting away that my eating disorder was under control, and made no effort to understand my specific phobia, even after a year.

I have been going to Dr. Ryall for a little over 10 years to help manage my bi-polar disorder. On the plus side, Dr. Ryall - is a caring person and found an effective combination of medicines to manage my disorder. However, the administrative side of the house is so bad that I am changing doctors. On at least three occasions Dr. Ryall's staff blocked renewal attempts from the pharmacy for my meds because the doctor would need to see me before doing so for a drug I was on 10 years. Not good.
