Clear communication, highly skilled
I had Dr Maloney for an ablation due to my scheduled doctor being out sick. I was given an option to reschedule but Dr Maloney seemed more than qualified so after a consultation, I went ahead with the procedure. Dr Maloney was very thorough in explaining everything and answering my questions, and the procedure went forward with her keeping me well-informed throughout the entire process.

I went to the practice at 54th st and Bell and saw Dr. Maloney. I presented with spinal stenosis and severe lower back arthritis. I was referred for an epidural for pain relief. In the consultation with Dr. Maloney I was told that epidurals, in a lot of cases like mine, don’t provide relief and that Ablation would be a superior fix. Given what I was told, I made decision to pursue ablation. The Dr. said she would walk me out and disappeared. The procedure scheduler was rude and short with me and did not give me complete appt. info for my procedure. I left their office questioning the quality of care I would receive at their ofc. It felt like “factory “ mentality. questioned whether I decided to get a 2nd opinion. So happy I trusted my instinct. 2nd Dr. much more thorough and didn’t want to skip steps that Dr. Maloney did. His approach was more conservative and given the fact this is about my spine, I appreciate a thorough, conservative approach.

I was very pleased with my initial consultation appointment with Dr. Malone. It seems that she looked up what information came from my primary care physician and what information I filled out that I gave when checking in. She took the time to ask questions and to explain her diagnosis and intended treatment. Two weeks later I had an office procedure which brought 100% relief within a day. I was also impressed with the staff at how well they handled an insurance authorization.

Our elderly mother has several medical conditions & has been on pain meds for years 1st visit Dr Maloney tells her she was going to take her off ALL her pain medications. I asked do you have another treatment plan for Mom to handle all her medical conditions? Dr Maloney says I don't know I'll need to look at her Chart. I'm furious! WHAT DR MAKES CHANGES WITHOUT LOOKING AT PATIENTS CHART?!? The Dr's nurse/MA confides in us several other complaints etc. We called an attorney right after leaving!

Should have no stars. Lacks compassion and does not listen to what she is told. I was turned over to her by an excellent doctor that left the practice who was wonderful. I suspect she has never been in pain and she has a God complex. Only she knows what is right. She put me on medication that was causing severe side effects. When I complained and asked to be put back on my old medicine her solution was to take more of what was causing my side effects. She is in the wrong business.

Discouraging. Dr Maloney was dismissive because she couldn't work around my high blood pressure and offered nothing to control my severe headache pain nor would she refer me to someone who could help me. Sad the insurance will actually pay for this useless visit.

Very disappointed! This was a first visit. I have 3 chronic pain conditions & in search of a 2nd opinion. My pain chart example was covered in ink marks. I attempted to explain my limitations of daily life due to the pain but I felt she was dismissive of the entirety of my pain. I am an educated senior who worked for corporate america for 42 years. I know how to discuss an issue with others. No people skills for this doc. Do not recommend for seniors! Office staff was great!!!
