Dr. Jessie Wilt, MD

My first visit was short but certainly not sweet. I was 'told' (nothing explained) my issue had nothing to do with my lungs and I should see a cardiologist. Bye - see you. After a year I received a phone call from her office in June asking for a CT scan of my lungs. I cancelled the appointment as I wasn't feeling well. Last week her office called to reschedule and I asked if I could talk to her first for an explanation. I was told she was with a patient. I said perhaps after her patients like EVERY OTHER DOCTOR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO has done. I'll be looking for a new pulmonologist.

I was assigned DR. Wilt at Colombia Presbyterian Hospital 18 years Ago after being delisted by Mount Sinai for a Lung Transplant. Nearly 15years ago I received a Double transplant under Dr. Wilts pulmonary care. She is super detailed, bright, keeps abreast of the latest treatments, procedures & studies. She is kind , very caring & communicates on any level. She saved my life a second time noticing me walking too much on one side and upon sending me for an immediate sonogram I had a DVT. Which was addressed. She really listens to her patients. She even follows up with all the other staff to access that they doing their Job correctly. You would be lucky to receive her as a Doctor. In fact my current Doctors say they trust her more than any other Pulmonologist-Internist.

Dr. Wilt and her team including nurse Cheryl, nurse Donna and admin assistant Alison provide care far beyond expectations for patients with pulmonary diseases. I have been in the care of Dr. Wilt for over 15 years during which time there are innumerable instances where she's called me, seen me or called in medications way after hours and even on weekends and holidays - she puts her patients first. I owe my ability to function normally to her and to enjoy life to the fullest. She's up to date on the latest developments and uses her knowledge, experience and expertise to manage my condition optimally weighing risks and benefits and recommending the best option.

There are no words that would begin to come close - Dr Wilts level of care, compassion, knowledge, confidence and support is elite. She has been a true gift in my life during a very challenging time. In addition, her office staff is top tier to say the least. Beyond grateful.

Makes you feel that you are her only patient. Listens intently. Always smiling and easy to work with. She is great. Truely believed she has saved my life.

Perfect bedside manner, extremely informative, highly professional.

Dr. Wilt is just wonderful. Always takes the time to answer my questions, explains everything thoroughly and is non-judgmental. I'm so glad I found her.

This negative review, in my opinion is very misleading! I have been seeing Dr. Wilt for more than a year. She is extremely professional, personable, willing to offer suggestions, i.e., doctors who treat health conditions not in the realm of her expertise, etc. Personally, I think it is incumbent upon the patient to have records from other physicians forwarded to your current doctor if appropriate. I heartily disagree with this review!

Dr. Jessie Wilt is unprofessional, discourteous, and emblematic of everything wrong with bureaucratic, impersonal, factory-style medicine. She telephoned after 6pm on the business day prior to my appointment, faulting me for the fact that her own staff had failed to seek paperwork from my referring physician. Seems she lacks access to standard electronic medical record systems, and then blames patients when her staff neglects to obtain paper copies either. Disappointing.

It is very rare you encounter a knowledgeable doctor with amazing bedside manor. Dr. Wilt and her staff were not only professional, lovely and sharp they were timely and gave excellent care. I could not speak more highly of this doctor and her practice. She took great care in explaining her findings and spent the time needed with me. I wish all doctors could provide this level of care and professionalism.

I highly recommend Dr. Wilt of Summit Medical Group for her skills and patient care. I saw her for help with severe coughing lasting over a year. After thorough review of my medical history and in-office tests, she diagnosed the coughing as a symptom of on-going asthma due to my long-time allergies. Dr. Wilt is intelligent; very personable, calm and interacts very well with me & my husband - giving us the time we needed to go over my diagnosis, treatment options and ongoing care.

I met Dr Wilt when I was in the hospital. She was exceptional: informative, no-nonsense, understanding, and she was 'right on' with my diagnosis, when others had not been. She is a fantastic doctor.

Dr wilts wouldn't take us as a patient as I was refered to her. I got a call saying I have to go to my original pumlonist? Who mis diganoise me thanks dr wilts and this isn't for a routine check up, I was diagnosed with an organ disease

Dr. Wilt's attention to detail saved my life. She is brilliant and positive.

Intelligent, compassionate and a sense of humor what more can one ask for ....
