Terrible Experience
I saw Dr. Mosier when I was hospitalized at Logan Health Medical Center (formerly Kalispell Regional Medical Center) for severe GI issues that caused severe malnutrition. They had her assess me when they didn't find an organic reason for my symptoms after a few tests. She diagnosed me with somatization disorder and restrictive food intake disorder. My biggest problem was not only this incorrect assessment (I did not meet criteria), but the fact she flat out lied and misquoted me in my medical records multiple times, she said things that were simply wrong, and also claimed I was just trying to 'get attention'. She said I did not need any more medical testing because my symptom etiology was psychological. This caused my physical GI diseases (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome, Gastroparesis, Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction, and Biliary Dyskinesia) to not be diagnosed until much later when I was able to get the proper testing she said wasn't necessary. I suffer from PTSD now.

While spending time on an inpatient ward, where Dr Mosier was a rotating physician, I believed that she had my best interests in mind. She was very personable and would take time out of her day, every day, to spend time with each patient. She would act as though she wanted to help in any way, and acted as if she was trying to advocate for the treatment you wanted. However, once I was released and viewed my patient/physician notes, I found that to be false. She lied straight to my face on several occasions, acting as if she were advocating for my release (I was no longer in any danger to myself and had been doing well for weeks) but in reality, she knew that I was not getting released and had a date set for transfer to a state facility. I have a major problem with people that are fake and lie to my face. If you are looking for someone who is truthful and trust-worthy, stay away from Dr Mosier, because she will act like your friend, while doing nothing to advocate for you.

Never having met Jessica Mosier, we were deeply impacted by her personal views, biases and religious ignorance and intolerance. Ms Mosiers ignorance of Native American Spirituality and Culture created a witch hunt that caused, my daughter to be mistreated as a patient and misdiagnosed delaying important, proper medical treatment for almost two weeks. My parental and religious rights were discriminated against in the most egregious way, including those of my daughter as well as our Spiritual helpers, it was intolerable and unethical. The added stress and confusion she caused at a time where clear thinking was necessary for proper care is in no short way a behavior that can be easily declared as unethical. Native Americans especially should be advised and steer clear in order to protect themselves and their children from her religious bias and incompetence. Make no mistake Pathways and the hospital will defend the unethical behavior of these doctors.
