Dr. Jessica Mikolowsky, MD

Dr. Mikolowsky treated me for severe depression, after I was admitted to the hospital after suffering from multiple seizures and Norovirus. I am 72 years old. Against my wishes, she sent me to Laurelwood, a psychiatric hospital that treats people with substance abuse. I was not allowed to use my phone, tablet, nor allowed visitors. I don’t do alcohol or drugs. I was extremely weak so couldn’t walk. I was alone, scared, and spent ninety percent of the time in a room with a window that I couldn’t see out of. The staff were really nice, but were not prepared to handle someone with my level of care. I needed physical therapy because I was too weak to walk. Dr. Mikolowsky knew that, but sent me to Laurelwood where I got very little physical therapy. Laurelwood did what they could to help me and I appreciate their efforts, but I didn’t belong there. I am home now. I have therapy three days a week. I can walk now.Dr. Mikolowsky certainly did me a great disservice. How sad.
