Patient for over 6 years
Dr. Halpern is one of my favorite doctors! She always makes herself available and has helped me through some really tough times. She listens and answers questions, always explains things to me really well, and truly has my best interest at mind. I have moved several times over the years and she has been extremely accomodating with virtual visits. I trust her a lot and plan to see her as long as I can!

Dr Halpern has a very harsh approach to her patients. She is not easy to talk to, and made my daughter feel very uncomfortable. I would not recommend her for children.

I have been a patient of Dr Halpern’s for a few years and I think she is an excellent psychiatrist. She also takes time to do talk therapy, which many psychotherapists do not do anymore. She is empathetic and always available in an urgent situation. Highly recommend.

Dr. Halpern is nice and easy to schedule appointments with, but she is very inexperienced and close-minded. It really feels like she made up her mind on what she's going to prescribe you before you even walk in the door. Will "listen" to you in the sense that she literally uses her ears to hear what you say, but she does not consider other opinions or the point of view of her patients.

She does not actually listen to what her patients are telling her and doesn’t prescribe medications that are helpful

Dr Halpern is one of the most compassionate, knowledgeable and hard working doctors I have ever had the privilege to meet. She knows her stuff and she always goes the extra mile.

Was not professional, did not consider my needs as a patient. Was not willing to change dosage of medication after several months. Treated poorly.
