Dr. Owens replace my left hip first, then a few months later she replace my right hip. The first surgery went as expected and recovery was slow but steady. The second hip replacement had problems with the incision leaking. It seemed as though it needed a couple more stiches. We asked repeatedly to get that done, as the bandaging would start leaking and my clothes were wet. We tried many times to get the incision fixed, but it was several weeks before they finally admitted it needed a couple extra stiches. By then it was too late. Within a few days after the incision was fixed, an infection set in and I ended up in the hospital have to go through the surgery again. Was in the hospital for 6 days and released with a port in my chest for administrating antibiotics, which I did for the next 5 weeks.

Dr. Owens is a great listener. She gives you the time to ask questions. She is straight forward in her approach to my surgery. I am very confident having her as my surgical doctor.
