He's constantly late to our appointments and talks more about himself than about the concerns I have. He literally told me about his ex-wife and her new boyfriend one time. If you have the option to see another psychiatrist, do it. Yes, he has ADHD and treats ADHD. Maybe that helps him understand it better, but it doesn't feel like I'm getting better treatment because of it.

the BEST
If you polled the people who gave bad reviews for Dr.Mcclelland, I guarantee they don't have ADHD themselves. If they did, they would know Dr. McClelland also has ADHD, and, like every other person that has ADHD, he acts like it. But this is also the precise reason why he is the BEST. He can explain symptoms and treatments like no one else because he has the very thing he is trying to help you treat. I dare you to find another doctor that has AND treats ADHD. Go ahead. He changed my life! He explained things to me EXACTLY the way I needed because he spoke the same language as my brain.(ask him about the tea cup) Of course he is a little disorganized,of course he is going to be a little late, because he has ADHD. That doesn't go away just because he is in a respected profession, but it is for this reason that he is the best for the job. I have to end this review here because there is a character limit, but trust me, I could go on on and on. Simply, if you have adhd, THIS is your doctor!

Dr. McClelland is one of the most intelligent and empathetic physicians I have ever seen. I have been a patient of his for over half a decade and I have received nothing but great care. He does sometimes speak very quickly and can be a little difficult to follow, but he is brilliant and he will always do his best to answer questions in a way that makes sense to you. There can be some issues with getting in contact with staff, but this has been my experience with ALL health care specialties. If you email his staff, you will absolutely get a response. Great doctor that I will continue to see until he retires.

Do not see this provider
This was by far the worst psychiatrist I have ever come in contact with. Appointments were rushed, disorganized, and I was discouraged from asking any questions. To make matters worse, the medical records kept by this office are comically inaccurate and missing critical pieces of in information. When describing suicidal ideation problems, I was advised to “get a new job” and that was it.

The absolute worst provider I have ever met in my entire life. When I told the rest of my medical team about what mr.mclelland did and his conduct, they were absolutely appalled at his behavior. This is the type of individual that you hear about and not actually run into in an entire lifetime.

Life changing and positive experience. I'm a changed person - happy, jovial, and attentive. Prior, I suffered from PTSD, anxiety and depression. My treatment involved 30 sessions of Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). While my brain got shocked, I became happier. TMS worked - I'm now a more engaged and confident person. Dr. McClelland and his staff are unbelievable. His staff are easy to relate to, educated, and passionate about a patient's care. One of the best experiences in my life.
