Dr. Jerry Yuan, MD

As I get ready to have surgery for Kidney stone removal, I am reminded of my first experience with Dr. Yuan. At first glance, Dr. Yuan could tell my discomfort level and acted immediately to help. Being one of many he must see on a weekly basis, I felt like he had complete compassion and concern for me alone. He quickly scheduled surgery a few days later, and Dr. Yuan and his team worked wonderfully to help me remove the stones. Unfortuanly my insurance will not allow me to use him this time. As I sit here nervous about having to use another physician, I wanted to share this to help anyone decide on Dr. Yuan.

Dr. Yuan is not a pleasant doctor to be around. His bedside manner is rude and unpleasant to a patient that is anxious about a procedure. I would not recommend Dr. Yuan to any patient needing Urology services.

I would give him negative stars if possible, very rude and not respect to his patient.

Dr. Yuan has been treating me for kidney stones since April 2018. He is professional, knowledgeable and he made me feel confident that he could help me and he has. His office staff is very friendly, always getting me in for an appointment quickly. Kidney stones are miserable and as a mama to two small toddlers, I don't have time for that nonsense. ?? Dr. Yuan has taken great care of me and hopefully I won't have any more issues but if I do, I've got him on speed dial. Highly recommend. ????

He appeared to be irritated when I asked him questions. Spent less than 4 minutes with my husband and me prior to the procedure. We felt like $$, not patients.

Dr. Yuan is brilliant and is an unquestionable expert in his field. Don't let the negative reviews sway you from that fact. That being said, if you are the type of person who is accustomed to [and needs] a slow talking, gentle, coddling, and emotional disposition from your doctor, he is not for you. If you like matter-of-fact, no BS, efficient, pure knowledge in your doctor, you will like him. Dr. Yuan is very helpful and knowledgable. He was prompt and courteous. And most importantly, he took the time time explain things and make sure I understood what was going on, what my options were and how we should proceed. I was very pleased with his professionalism and his care.

Professional, thorough and confident manner. No male enjoys a urological exam, but Dr. Yuan lessens the awkwardness with his very straightforward approach. Highly recommended.

FEB 2018. Stone blocking ureter. Wants to use Lithotripsy. I told him this does NOT work on calcium stones. He insists that the density of this stone would prove successful. Today - post op visit. He tells me he is not worried about the rent this month because I would need a DIFFERENT PROCEDURE. The Lthoptripy was unsuccessful. Yet he told my wife (while I was in recovery) that the procedure was a complete success! Stone was broken up. (I generally refer to this as a lie!) Don't trust him!

I really like Dr.Yuan because he comes straight to the point as far as your health is concerned. He offers you his professional opinion on your health concerns. Great Dr./ patient relationship.Would highly recommend.

I am a 75 year old male, Dr. Yuan has been my doctor for years. I have had surgery and many age related issues and they have all been treated professionally.

Dr. Yuan's initial "bedside manner" may not be the best, but his competence level certainly overrides that item. After dealing with kidney stones for almost 20 years, Dr. Yuan analyzed situation, put me on medication, and I have not have a stone since. He also took needed time with me to discuss various medications I take and the impact it has on various body functions.

This was my first visit to Dr. Yuan but I have been to Georgia Urology previously. Dr. Yuan took the time to listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions and came up with an action plan. The waiting room time was less than 10 minutes and he saw me within 5 minutes after I was placed in the exam room. The staff was also very pleasant and I will continue to consult with him as my urologist.

Dr. Yuan is strictly business that is what I like tell it like it is and no sugar coating I would recommend Dr.Yuan to anyone needing a Uroglist
