Not very professional and has no personality!
She was rushed and when I asked for a prescription of a cream medication that had always worked for me...she walked out of the room and mumbled that she doubted I ever had that prescription. I never saw her again that visit and left without any prescriptions. I never have any plans of going back and knew there were better dermatologists in our area and could definitely do better elsewhere.I have a life time of acne and my last dermatologist had prescribed it for me and it worked.Would NOT ask for it if I didn't need it. I would never recommend her to anyone. There are just too many doctors here that can do what she does and not insult or ignore the patient or their requests/suggestions. She's the only Dr. that I know of that you can only see on the 3rd visit! In her practice, you pay to see a doctor and end up with a NP. I feel sorry for anyone that works with that Jekyll and Hyde not to mention her patients that ask her questions or need a prescription. Doesn't deserve even one star!!

Incompetent, uncaring, and rude. My wife sought treatment for psoriasis in the scalp. In addition, she has other health problems including moderate cognitive deficit, so before our first appointment we explained that I would have to accompany her, masked per COVID guidance, as her caregiver/spouse to be able to interpret and follow instructions on her behalf. For her first two appointments this was not a problem. At her third visit, we were summarily denied access "due to COVID", despite the fact that we are vaccinated AND had made two previous visits without issues. The staff were extremely rude during this dialog.

She is one of the sharpest docs I know. If she doesn't know, she will research until an answer is found. She has great PAs that work directly with her. This is a great practice.

As a combat-disabled former Marine I was told the Veteran's Hospital was scheduling four months out for dermatology appointments. I had three very worrisome areas that needed analysis. The Veteran's Administration informed me I was eligible to go to a closer, sooner scheduled private doctor. "H.D." was only closer option. They informed me they didn't participate in the Veteran's Choice Program even though the VA would have reimbursed them the total fee. I agreed to pay with my social security and out of pocket. The doctor spent approximately fifteen minutes with me, did not address my specific concerns, and the few areas she elected to squirt with liquid nitrogen did not react as they should have if it was applied properly. When I finally got an appointment with a VA doctor he immediately showed concern about the areas Dr. Alexiou ignored and multiple biopsies were taken and lab-analyzed as active Squamous cells requiring further surgery. A bill for the remaining $100 from H.D. was i

A person at the window was taking long to check in, so I was invited to the inside window to register/sign in. After a short wait I was called back and interviewed. Soon after that I was seen by Jeanine, who allowed me to point to areas of my concern. After a thorough examination, she gave me the option of freezing or cream for several spots. I opted for freezing. Appointment over! Slick and easy!

New patient here-- I had the most wonderful person on the other end of the line to tell me that new patients weren't being seen until June of 2018 but she would call me if something opened sooner. Amazingly, she called the next day and set up an appt for 9/20 and I couldn't have been happier. Unfortunately, my mom's health has taken a turn for the worse and she is more important so I needed to cancel and hopefully reschedule. Nope. June 2018 due to a nasty person on other end. Horrible serv.

It was a pleasure being seen by Dr. Alexia and her team. The office offers a calm atmosphere and the staff is kind and courteous. I was seen promptly by PA Jeanine Wilson and Dr. Alexiou. They were both very thorough and attentive to my needs by kindly taking the time to explain the method of treatment, not just offer a perception and send me on my way. I would recommend Harrisonburg Dermatology to anyone looking for quality care.

The wait is INTERMINABLE at this office! Never less than 30 minutes and often over 45-60. There are usually multiple people in the waiting room with the same appointment time as I have and we are all waiting and waiting. Plus when I have been called by the office to reschedule an appointment due to their schedule changing, the next one they offer me is MONTHS away.

I think she's the bees knees. I've had a lot of actinic keratoses and three basal cell baddies, so I've been in the office a number of times more than I'd like. But Dr. A isn't just an excellent physician, she is kind and considerate and has lots of go-to energy that makes patients feel positive. Can't say enough good here, really.

I felt as if I were being rushed, which was frustrating as I had waited in her office for over an hour. I made the appointment months in advance. She showed no compassion. She was cold . She referred me to a physician who could possibly charge $500 a visit--not covered by insurance. I felt frustrated and disappointed.
