Dr. Jerold Gurley, MD

Amazing, honest MD. He was my second opinion and the only one I value. He ordered all the right X-rays, explained everything thoroughly, listens to all questions and takes as much time as needed. I am so grateful to Dr Gurley and have recommended him to others (i saw him based on someone recommending him)

Dr Gurley, is very through in his explanation of your condition. All options are explained as well as serious possibilities or complications of surgery. He also recommends a second opinon. I had all the testing and was fitted for my brace. My surgery. was in November of 2023. He was very good with pain control post-op. I am at home, and doing very well. I am wearing the Torso brace, as directed, for 3 months. There are some limitations in mobility. I have screws and plates in my spine that are Titanium and permeant. I have had my first post visit. I will have x-rays with each visit at 6 and 12 weeks post. Dr Gurly, takes his time at each visit To be sure you understand everything and are comfortable with your care. It is important to wear the brace and follow instructions. I prepared my home pre-op, so that everything I needed was in reach without bending or twisting. As a Nurse, of 45 years, I did have an advantage of knowledge of pre and post-op procedures. I had family help.

Deleted with back pain for along time, the short of it is, he got me out of pain. Do your PT like you are supposed to and surgery is well worth it. Plus he has a wonderful sense of humor and makes you feel at ease

I found Dr. Gurley to be open and honest with a good sense of humor. He explained my back issues clearly and gave me other options before jumping into surgery. At each visit, he patiently answered my questions and even encouraged me to seek a second opinion. He educated and prepared me for the type of surgery I would have (laminectomy/lumbar fusion), what to expect and what my recovery would look like. Following surgery, while in the hospital, he visited me each day, if not twice a day. I found him to be compassionate and an advocate for me as his patient. In all of my interactions with his office staff, they have been helpful, efficient and professional. I'm grateful for Dr. Gurley and highly recommend him.

Dr Gurley is without a doubt one of the best spine specialists you will ever find. He is an outstanding surgeon, straight forward, truthful, and is one of the communicators when it comes to discussing your spine issues. He will explore all the options necessary to avoid surgery which is rare for many surgeons. I have recommended him to dozens of friends ,family and coworkers

Awesome surgeon! After years of lower back pain, to the point I could no longer endure, I finally had the courage to schedule an appt. After meeting with 3 different back surgeons I was convinced Dr. Gurley was the one. He made me feel comfortable when talking, took his time and answered all my questions. He didn’t talk surgery right away. We started with a few other options, which unfortunately did not work for me. After having my lower back surgery I was able to walk with no pain. Recovery was long, but do as your told and it goes quickly. I am years out and still doing great!!

Dr Gurley is an excellent surgeon. I'm 63 years old and feel like a 20 year old once again after Dr Gurley performed surgery on my lower back (L2, L3, L4 and L5). I could barely walk and was slowly losing bodily functions not to mention that the pain was unbearable and I generally cried myself to sleep. The surgery was long and complicated yet relief and joy were felt immediately afterward! Thank you Dr. Gurley!!!!

Dr Gurley, is an amazingly intelligent compassionate kind empathetic and the list goes on. Jacky Ginny and Moraset who work in his office are equally awesome. I would and do recommend Dr Gurley to anyone who is suffering from back problems. Since I’ve been seeing him, he has changed my life for the better. They are an awesome awesome group. My nephew had spinal surgery almost two years ago Dr. Gurley performed the operation. He is an excellent surgeon and provides a realistic assessment of the possible outcomes. Dr. Gurley's professional manner and demeanor as well as his competence and expertise made him our logical choice after consulting and researching other surgeons. My nephew is now pain free and his surgery was successful. I also applaud Dr. Gurley's office staff for their outstanding assistance during the process.

Wonderful spine surgeon. Feel 30 years younger and its only been a month.

Literally saved my life. My back was awful, and Dr. Gurley performed extensive, multi-level fusion surgery ~5 years ago. Goal was 20% pain improvement (my back was bad). I am now 98% pain improved. I was depressed and hopeless before surgery - back pain is real and debilitating on many levels. Dr. Gurley pushed surgery off as long as possible. He cared a lot about my family and how they would cope with my post-surgery plight. My advice? Trust him with your life - I did. Not a single regret!

Very talented and thorough Doctor with a great personality. Surgery was smooth, went well and minimal if any scaring. I was lucky to find him and able to use his unique talents.
