Dr. Sugrue literally saved my life! In Nov 2022, I was very sick and kept getting worse. After getting the right tests to determine the prognosis, Dr. Sugrue was very thorough in describing what the problem was and explained the next steps to be taken. I had total confidence in his recommendation and had surgery scheduled for the following week. I needed to have a Colostomy. The surgery was successful and after seven months of healing and physical therapy, I was able to get a reversal done. My family and I have the utmost respect for Dr. Sugrue and his staff. I’m able to tell my story today thanks to Dr. Sugrue’s professionalism, caring manner and excellent surgeon skills. Dr. Sugrue, I know I had always thanked you for everything each time I seen you, but that is minimal for getting my life and health back. Dr. Surgrue and team performed a complicated Colorectal Surgery on me last week which went really well considering what they were presented with. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome or surgeon! The aftercare by his staff during my hospital say was also exceptional. They checked on me often to see how I was healing and answered any questions I had. They really care about the patient. I would Highly recommend Dr. Surgrue and staff!

I had to go to Edward Hospital Emergency room where it was determined that my gallbladder was extremely infected and inflamed and I had large gallstones. Dr. Sugrue fought to have my surgery done right away. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm healing nicely. Throughout it all, Dr. Sugrue was very kind, polite, and professional. He answered all my questions (and my family's). I wish all doctors/surgeons were like Dr. Sugrue. I was so scared and nervous and his kindness eased that for me. I highly recommend him!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr.Sugrue he was so theory , answered every question we had , he made things happen for my husband knowing how sick my husband was. I do not understand how he doesn’t have 5 star rating !!

rude, monotonous, not interested in my care. treats his co-workers poorly until the main surgeon is there. would not choose again if i had choice in the residents that i see.
