She's always in a hurry so she won't really listen and dismisses all problems as just being 'an off day.' She'll gaslight you just to get you out of the appointment quicker.

Dr. Sutherland listens to you. I was told her outcome base was the best by my niece who specializes in the field. She takes the time with you. So she will probably run late because she takes time with all her patients. My best friend is the wife of my retired internist and we both find her very special.

I began seeing Dr. Southerland 3 years ago for my annual physical after my primary physician of 20 years retired. I chose her because of her training in integrative medicine and recommendation by a trusted friend in the medical field. I require a physician with whom I can have a rapport and be a respected participant in the planning of my care. I found her to be a compassionate listener, attentive and quick to share information and explanations.

My first visit for an annual wellness check was comfortable, friendly, & quite comprehensive. Unlike many docs, Dr. Sutherland has a holistic approach & discussed diet, exercise details, & suggested options like skin screening & other supplements. (This is not a physician who immediately turns to pharma as the first choice for every issue.). She is very likeable, knowledgeable, & listens closely w/attention to family & personal health history. The exam was not rushed & she was caring, warm, & understanding throughout (w/welcome discussions about homeopathy & other alternative health options which I find essential). Visits to the Westbrook Middlesex Health Center are are actually enjoyable! I left feeling that I had a family doc who listens, who made excellent suggestions, & to whom I could call if I had additional questions or concerns. After some disappointing appointments w/other docs, both my husband & I are very happy to have found the right PCP.
