Dr. Jennifer Stanley, DO

Dr. Stanley is one of those bully doctors who use intimidation and fear as a 'method' or relating to her patients. I should have known, since she was the only OB in the Houston area who had space for me within a four month period.

Dr. Stanley is an amazing doctor! She listens, personable, has excellent bedside manner, and she's patient. She hears you out and she is very thorough.

Felt very comfortable talking with the doctor and what needed to be done and forward plan.

Dr. Stanley she is amazing and very professional. Really a pleasure to visit her.

Dr Stanley is awesome! Always let's you know what phase of woman wellness your in and gives great advice and discusses various health options with you. She really acknowledges any concerns or questions and gives rationale and what to expect going forward ( New menopause). That's very much appreciated...makes you feel seen & heard. Not always easy to find a physician w/ extensive knowledge AND great bedside manner at the same time. I feel lucky that my friend recommended her!

She sometimes seems rushed and overloaded with patients. I think she does that best she can to give me her full attention.

My first visit with Dr. Stanley due the departure of my prior gynecologist from the Methodist system I am very pleased with Dr. Stanley and happy to be her patient now

Dr. Stanley promised me a normal delivery at every prenatal visit and she would be the one to deliver my son. When the delivery came, Dr. Stanley left the hospital without notifying the nurses or myself. An OBGYN that never introduced herself to my husband& I, nor I've seen prior, said she was going to be doing an emergency cesarean. Something that I hadn't prepared myself for, Dr. Stanley never followed up after she allowed another OBGYN to cut me open. I was rushed to the hospital a few days after my delivery, where Dr. Stanley's office is located, for postpartum preeclampsia, she didn't even visit then. I was not able to make my postpartum visit at the end of the six weeks, because of the extreme pain I was still in, I called to cancel the appointment. I was notified that her office billed my insurance for the visit, as if I was seen in the office. When I called her office to actually schedule my postpartum visit, I was told the day before it would be a well exam or problem visit

I went for a routine Well Women's visit, brought up concerns (because she asked) but this then turned into entirely different appointment that was no longer covered in my insurance. I had asked for clarification multiple times about costs and fees but there was no indication that my appointment type had changed. Two weeks later, I get an insane bill and after speaking with multiple staff, I wasn't able to change my appointment type to what was covered. This lack of transparency really disheartening, especially for newcomers who already don't trust the system. I also felt like my concerns/questions about birth control were kind of brushed off and when she said I might have PCOS, the narrative just kept focusing on "eating better" without any concrete action steps. After all of this, I tried to message her and I didn't even get a response. The rest of the staff here are very sweet and tried to help the best they could so I really appreciated them!

I am often nervous to see doctors, but I had a really good experience with Dr. Stanley. She was funny, personable, and asked thought-provoking questions about my health. Along with her, the nurses and other staff were friendly. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Stanley and her team.

Poor bedside manner. She was dismissive and rude.

I saw Dr. Stanley for my well woman’s exam. She went beyond the basic questions, volunteered information I had no idea I knew about. She’s definitely well versed, knowledgeable & easy to talk to. I’d love for her to care for me and deliver my future babies.
