Sudden Acute Encephalopathy Compassion
I became suddenly unconscious and unaware leading to being lifeflighted to Tyler, Texas and put in NEURO ICU. Dr. Shupe was one of my doctors. My husband said right from the start that she truly cared. You could tell that she listens, only cares to help what's happening and was so incredibly compassionate and diligent in determining a cause for what happened to me. When I woke up, she said 'It's so good to see you smiling and awake!' Something about that first sentence let me know instantly that she loves her career and is right where she should be. I'm so thankful that she was on the team of MDs to review my case because she was one of the doctors that stood out from the rest. I am forever so grateful.
