Dr. Jennifer O'Keeffe, MD

Dr. O'Keeffe treated my young son pharmacologically primarily for anxiety during and after the pandemic. She had a handful of zoom sessions with him for assessment purposes but otherwise relied on parental observation for diagnosis. She is knowledgeable but lacks real-world experience and has poor bedside manner. She was quick to recommend admission to a behavioral health clinic rather than monitor my son over the course of a day or two for signs of change or improvement. My belief is that she did this, not for the health and wellbeing of the patient, but rather to remove herself from a challenging situation for fear of liability. Once my son was hospitalized, she was literally unwilling to offer consultation as the he was now in the care of the hospital. I would not recommend her! Personally, she is responsible for causing a great deal of trauma for my child and my family by sending him to the ER and the subsequent 'lock-down' in a mental health clinic.
