Dr. Jennifer Mehdizadeh, MD

Dr. Mehdizadeh is a good surgeon. But before I was able to schedule my follow up appointment, she became out of network with my insurer and also shut down her old practice. I’ve spent the last 3 months trying to get my medical records from her. I’m a journalist. I know how to navigate bureaucracies to get info. I walked into her new office and filled out the required paperwork. Her new office is a complete mess. It takes days for the actual staff in her office to get in touch with you after you leave messages. 99% of calls go to a calling service. After weeks of trying, I managed to talk to an office staffer, Debbie Guerra. She agreed to send my records. Then she stalled, and said the doctor was in network again. I've tried to get clarity. But she's ghosted me. And I don't have my records either. I can only conclude that this is how this doctor has decided to practice medicine now. I wouldn’t recommend this doctor and her staff if you seek continuity and consistency of care.

knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

I did not get to meet with Dr. Mehdizadeh. Scheduled my appointment in October for a January 4th visit in Tarzana. When I arrived, staff informed me doctor was in West Hills office that day. They made a mistake when scheduling. The only solution they offered was to reschedule in February. So wait another six weeks on top of the two-plus months I've already waited. VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE and no closer to resolving my medical issues. Would rate zero stars.

Always treated very well

She was my urologist until we move out of the area. Smart, warm,knowledgeable, caring. I just called her for a second opinion since we moved. Returned my call promptly and was so helpful. I highly recommend dr. Mehdizadeh!

Dr Mehdizodeh is incredible, warm and so understanding. Explains every detail, never rushed. Love her, but still can't pronounce her name so she is Dr. "M" to me. Don't wait another day... Happy Patient

Incompetent staff, very unfriendly environment.

Dr. Mehdizadeh has a gift for listening and explaining, in a clear, forthright way without talking down to you, what is causing your problem, how best to address it and providing practical advice for resolving it. I only wish I'd consulted her a couple of years earlier. Fabulous experience.

Dr. Mehdizadeh was rushing the day of surgery. Told I wouldn't be completely put under.Taken to surgery room Dr.was not there, just me anesthesiologist, X-ray guy, and one nurse. The nurse asked me if I wanted something for my nerves, told him sure. Next thing I knew, I woke up in the recovery room. Dr. Mehdizadeh left before I woke up. Didn't let me know how it went, or at least call? My follow up appt. I had to asked if every thing went ok. Basically question her for answers? She is too BUSY!

Dr. Mehdizadeh was referred to me and the best referral I have received. She is very compassionate, knows her profession, explains things very well and I am never guessing on what is wrong or not wrong. I am very picky about whom I trust and I trust her. Great Dr. and I would recommend her to anyone needs to see a Dr. of her specialty.

Outstanding. Dr. Mehdizadeh is a competent doctor with a trustworthy demeanor. She took the time to really listen to my problems. Thus, we resolved my issue in a non-invasive way, much to my delight. She is personable while discussing facts, sensitive matters and medical terminology. Excellent doctor. One of the best!

I love this doc and her sweet girls up front. She was informative and kind. I have been dealing with an issue for years, and had to google after giving up on other urologists.... But, she was informed, detailed and, really made an uncomfy situation, better.... Office is quiet, clean, and, again, very friendly. She is busy, but they know to work, scheduling, in the most efficient, way, they can. They have already, gone, above and beyond. Thank you, so much!

If you 're looking for a doc who's incredibly knowledgeable, thorough in their examination, explicit in their explanations, patient in answering all questions large and small, and who ignores that ticking clock that most health care companies insist on and gives you all the time you need, then see Dr. Jennifer Mehdizadeh (meddy-za-day). She's no-nonsense in her manner, yet warm and kind. She's the best example of what a doctor should be. Wish that there were more like her.

She actually listens to patients and seems to genuinely care.
