Dr. Jennifer Mathieu, DO

I could see why some people think Dr. Mathieu is quiet and not open, but really she is just a calm, level headed, and down to earth person. And that to me is the best doctor you could ask for. She delivered both my babies. Dr. Mathieu communicated well, kept me calm, and ensured both my babies were born healthy. I had some minor issues but she kept me informed and made sure I was well taken care of. I 100% recommend Dr. Mathieu for all prenatal, labor & delivery, and postnatal care.

Dr Mathiue is amazing! She takes her time with all her patients. No matter what she always listens. My first time meeting her is always awkward but the more time we spent together the more we both got comfortable. She is awesome and always gives you a lot of things to look up and handouts to read. Best care is patient education and I love that about her.

If you are looking for an OBGYN I would NOT recommend Dr. Mathieu. She is like a robot, her care is not patient centered or compassionate. She stares at the floor when she speaks to you as as she mumbles off information without explaining it in full. You will be made to feel like you are just part of a production line, in and out as fast as possible. She will ask if you have any questions instead of providing relevant information and resources that you might want or need. She doesn't explain procedures or give you progress updates. You will be treated like a medical specimen instead of a human being. If you ask her to do something that she doesn't have planned for you she will simply refuse and say no without providing a complete explanation. I will never see her again.

I saw Dr. Mathieu regarding infertility issues. She never referred me to a specialist nor let me know that an initial consultation with a fertility specialist was free. If I would have just done that when I first starting seeing her, it may (or may not....we never know) have saved years of heartbreak, miscarriages, and never being able to have another child. I got cancer, and it was so aggressive I didn't have time to save eggs. I think about that...if I just would have seen a specialist I would have saved eggs. Now looking at costs of adoption, it would almost be cheaper and simpler to have a surrogate. That isn't an option for me.

Dr Mathiue is amazing. She came into the hospital at 1:30 am, and took over my case when I had a cyst rupture. She was so kind and explained everything in detail, making me feel very safe and reassured. She performed surgery on me the next day, and made the entire experience as pleasant as could be. I feel very fortunate to have been in her care and would recommend her as my top choice to anyone who needed this type of service.
