Dr. Jennifer Hawkins, DO

I saw Dr. Hawkins for my first pregnancy and had a bad experience with her at my 20 week scan (January 2019). My husband came to the appointment with me and he has severe anxiety and uses medical marijuana to treat it. He was very nervous, this being out first child, and medicated before we left the house then changed his clothes and tried his best to cover any residual smell with cologne. The doctor took an extra long time reviewing the scans after the ultrasound tech had finished and when she returned to the room she was very unprofessional and cold and made me and my husband feel completely terrible that there was a noticeable smell. While I am not oblivious, I understand that people are very offput but that particular smell, there were other ways that she could have addressed the issue rather than making me feel like crap on what was supposed to be the happiest OB visit of the entire pregnancy.

I had bad experience with this doctor, I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I wished to deliver my baby vaginally, however she pushed me to do unnecessary C-section, and i faced many problems from that operation. When I asked the reason for the C-section, she gave me three different reasons.

I had a bad experience. My questions were not answered and I didn't feel my problem was addressed well. I didn't feel like she listened to me.

She seems very knowledgeable and explains things very well. However, she is not personable and did not listen to me and my concerns. She seems more textbook with things and does not stop to just have a conversation with her patients about their issues and overall well-being.
