Not informed about whooping cough
My daughter caught whooping cough in late December. Dr. Hartstein gave us inaccurate information about how long my daughter would be contagious after starting antibiotics. Dr. Hartstein didn't give my husband or I any guidance on prophylactic treatments, even though I mentioned that I am immune compromised. My husband and I should've been advised to follow up with our own doctors about T dap boosters and possibly even prophylactic antibiotics. Now in February, I have been wearing a diaper due to all the coughing from MY whooping cough. Dr. Hartstein also advised that my daughter would be not contagious after 24 hours on the antibiotics, so we sent her back to school. I did further research at Mayo Clinic website. It shows that a person needs to be on the antibiotics for five days. So we have exposed literally hundreds of people to this awful disease due to Dr. Hartstein's erroneous advice.
