Dr. Jennifer Gunter, MD

My experience is that she was dismissive, uncaring and only interested in doing things one way. That affected my health as a patient. I disagreed with how she handled my care and got a second opinion. She appeared to take that personally. She then went out of her way to try and prevent me from receiving medically necessary and appropriate care from other specialists within the Kaiser system. I probably should had complained to the medical board.

She was condescending and expressed no concern with what healthcare problem i was dealing with. I never thought I would cry after a doctors appointment but i did. She made it seem as if there was no solution for my problem. I asked to meet with another person in her department and she was kind, understanding, and found a solution for the health issue that i was dealing with. Jennifer Gunter is a horrible and inconsiderate human being.

horrible. rude. mean. gaslighting. she is not a proponent of health, she's a self proclaimed specialist who thinks she's famous.

Dr. Gunter changed my life with accurate treatment of Lichen Sclerosis. She has been the only doctor to diagnose the cause of pain and burning that every other gynecologist missed. Her on point instructions of what to prescribe, where and how often to use it gave me my life back and hope that I could live a normal life without discomfort including being able to wear something other than ultra loose clothing. It has been almost 10 years since my first visit. During that time her office would call me every year to check on my progress and schedule my annual check up. I recommend her to everyone who I think might benefit.

dr gunter had me waiting for two hours while she talked on the phone about twitter. Her staff are as rude as she is. They know me well. I don’t think she even has office hours anymore

Dr. Gunter has really changed my life. She is always willing to see me and responds quickly to my emails. She is always willing to refer me for additional treatment if I think it will help and answers all my questions. To top it off she is kind and makes you feel comfortable. I am very grateful to have her as my doctor.

After waiting 6 months to see her after having postpardom pain issues (that were caused by kaiser) she walked in said "oh your fat, that must be the cause of your pain, you must be diabetic (I have never been) just stop eating, exerise is a waste of time just don't eat. Your going to die of cancer. I'm ordering a blood test take some pills bye." That was my first visit only got worse from there...

Dr Gunter oversees my rare Lichen Sclerosis condition. She is the expert in the field, the " go to" person for all diseases of women's vaginal health and rare and common diseases. I found her to be very friendly,willing to listen and answer all my questions. She always gives you lots of time to talk and is very supportive and kind. I feel she is very trustworthy.

Chronic pelvic pain is very frustrating. I appreciate that Dr Gunter takes the time to consider all causes of abdominal pain before jumping right to surgery.
