I believe this is the same Dr. Garvey who now practices with Maine Eye Center in Portland. I was referred to Dr. Garvey for some specific eye concerns. She listened carefully, did a number of tests, and asked good questions. She did not rush me. She was very professional, very down-to-earth, very kind. Her assistant, Ashley, began the appointment on both occasions that I saw Dr. Garvey and she was also excellent. I was happy when Dr. Garvey said she would continue as my regular eye doctor.

Dr Garvy and her staff were gracious and efficient. They worked me in for an urgent problem when I was visiting Portland. I found her to be knowledgeable, engaged and personable.

Dr. Garvey comes across as a total flake. She was an hour late to my pre-op appointment with no explanation or apology. Didn't seem to get orientated to me in the exam room, looking for my record, etc. She tried to confirm the first surgery would be the left eye,...NO, it was to be the right eye. Generated ZERO confidence. She called me a week before surgery and asked me if I really wanted to get the surgery. At that point, my answer was pretty much "not with you". Final interaction.
