Dr. Jennifer Derby, DO

Why all the negativity? I've been a patient of her for a few years now. She listens and makes decisions accordingly. She is polite and caring. She focuses on healthy lifestyles which is the root of many of our health issues.Sometimes we expect too much of our doctors . They can't always wave a magic wand and make us feel better. I've witnessed some very rude patients.

My experience with Dr. Jennifer Derby has been nothing short of disappointing. Initially, she seemed pleasant during my first visit, but it was the subsequent encounters that truly highlighted her incompetence and lack of empathy.The moment that solidified my disdain for Dr. Derby was when I confided in her about my struggles with depression and thoughts of suicide. Rather than approaching the situation with care and professionalism, she callously dismissed my concerns with a flippant remark, suggesting that I was simply tired. It was clear that she either lacked the understanding or the compassion to address mental health issues appropriately.During another visit, after I had sustained a minor injury while playing with my dog, Dr. Derby insisted on administering a tetanus shot, despite my assurance that it was unnecessary. It was evident that she was more focused on unnecessary treatments than on truly understanding and addressing my needs as a patient.

I went for acute neck pain and she refused to do any kind of testing. I assumed an X-ray would be needed before an MRI. She wasn’t willing to do any of it and passed the bill to neurology. Now I have to sit till April with a condition I can’t get a diagnosis for. Do NOT expect her to help you. I will be formally reporting her when the emotional hangover of her treatment of me wears off.

Dr. Derby is a wonderful physician. Knowledgeable, caring and she really listens. Absolutely the best.

For the past year she has taken care of my husband and I and we found her to be the best. She always tries to find out the what the problem is and the best way to treat us. She is also and encourager. She is very nice.
