Disappointed, back to Duly
I was a patient of Dr. Ahmadian's for many years and followed her to her new location. The office staff will not return phone calls or messages and I was informed they didn't call me about an insurance issue for over 3 weeks (that I resolved myself 5 minutes later) because, 'I'm not the only patient.' Her new MA Virginia is absolutely awful and should not be working in patient care, zero empathy and very rude. I was an established patient receiving a preventative treatment every 12 weeks and was told the appointment would need to be delayed an extra 7 weeks because their office refused to communicate with me and didn't run my insurance for several days after the issue was resolved. This resulted in missed work, more pain and stress, and was met with nothing but silence. I went back to Duly and am receiving appropriate communication and necessary preventative treatment back on schedule, thanks to their very kind staff.

0 follow up.
In 4 years I probably saw her 3 times. 0 follow up care. Actually 0 overall care. I once was flaring and then she told me I wasn’t when I called for steroids. Left office without any referrals. I notice that her reviews are either 5 stars or 1. Maybe people with invisible symptoms are bottom of her list.

Dr Ahmadian is exceptional
I have been seeing Dr Ahmadian for 22 years. She is caring, thorough and keeps up with new developments and treatments. I have suffered severe migraines since I was 14. Dr Ahmadian was the 1st Dr after 2 decades to find the right treatments for me. Every person’s ns migraine is different. I am often headache free now. She is also treating me for a relatively rare condition. She is exceptionally responsive and her staff is helpful in getting me in and f I need to see her more urgently during any flare ups.

Cost me 15 years of treatment with a misdiagnosed. Treated me horribly. My disease has progressed significantly due to lack of treatment and it is her fault.

She makes me feel heard...
Dr. Ahmadian distinguishes herself as a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate neurologist. Her ability to truly listen and make me feel heard is a testament to her dedication to providing exceptional care. Not only does she possess superb medical knowledge and expertise in the field of neurology, but she also has a warm and empathetic bedside manner that instantly put me at ease. Dr. Ahmadian's commitment to her profession shines through in every interaction, demonstrating her genuine concern for the well-being of those under her care. I was recommended to her from different random people I have met. Her wait list was long but WELL WORTH the wait! Other neurologist only tried a couple of things to figure out my migraine issue whereas Dr. Ahmadian just kept working with me until we found a solution! You can trust in the fact that your concerns will be thoroughly addressed and that they are in capable hands with Dr. Ahmadian. Thanks for always being there for me!

The nurse drilled me on my psychiatrists list of medications I was on like she knew I was there to ask for different medication. The doctor came in and speculated on hat diagnosis I was prescribed an adhd Med for and why I was prescribed an anti psychotic and anti depressant. It was brutally torturous. Just for her to tell me to literally take a chill pill or she would give me one prior to my “tests” which she didn’t tell me would only be the bloodwork not the MRI or EEG that she ordered and told me to take the medicine for...the front desk then scheduling me more than one month out for the EEG they can do in their office. Not making my case a priority obviously. I have severe narcolepsy, pain, adhd and depression. She thinks I’m an addict and stole my medical records from the psychiatrist I privately see and which is confidential. Interrogations.

I wish I could give zero stars. She was dismissive and rude. She was impatient with me at my appointment because I was having a hard time describing the sensations I was experiencing. (My memory and decliming word recall were part of the reason for my appointment, mind you.) After getting my MRI, she sent me a letter saying nothing was wrong despite all of my symptoms. When I dared to call to get more information, I spoke to a nurse, who was equally as rude as her. I was genuinely confused and trying to understand, and she told the nurse to ask me if I wanted a referral to a psychiatrist. And no, it wasn't suggested in a kind way. Run.

They don't care how urgently you need a test done no matter the reason. Came here for an EMG and nerve conduction test. Did not let me know she was running at least 30 min behind, but after waiting they did let me get something to eat. Test was fine, and faxed it where it needed to go. But, she refuses to answer question about the part of the test she said did not need to be done. They claim I am not under her care, but it is a question about her decision. AVOID!! Plenty of places around!

I had a very positive visit with Dr. Ahmadian when I went in with my father to his neurological appointment. She is intelligent, is a problem solver, and has a positive disposition dealing with a patient and a patient's family. I recommend highly!

I have been seeing Dr. Ahmadian for 3 years for sudden onset migraines. She has worked so closely with me and tried so many things to alleviate my suffering at the same time managing / seeking out the cause. She has never given up and is always positive and very empathetic. She is also the most accessible doctor I have ever had by phone/ email or if I need to see. I am not sure what my last few years would have been like without her- despite the fact that we haven’t solved it Istill feel hopeful

Had an appointment for a nerve injury due to a slip and fall accident. Was examined by Dr A and sent for a MRI. When the results were in, all contact was through the patient portal. No phone call. Was told there was nothing she could do for me, no diagnosis or support of any kind and to follow up with my PCP. I guess my diagnosis was when she said it should heal slowly over time.

Love Dr a Ahmadian but her admin drives me bananas every time I go there. Once I waited 30 mins for my appt while people who arrived before me and had later appts were taken before me. The admin said we are taken in order of arrival not appt time. Ok so if I arrive at 8am for my 2pm appt I will be taken at 8am. Made no sense what so ever.

Excellent all around! My first visit after switching neurologists for M.S. She had already reviwed my records and didn’t have to explain everything again. This experience was the way a physician should be. Professional, actually listened to me and and didn’t rush me through. I was in awe compared to my previous neuro. Highly recommend The staff was very friendly and yet professional! Pennie Crowley

During my first appointment for chronic migraines, Dr. Ahmadian spent less than 8 minutes with me and asked me all of about 5 questions. She was not curious in the slightest and did not offer any treatment options. I scheduled my first appointment 4 months in advance (due to her availability) and one week before my appointment, she cancelled. After my first visit, I scheduled another appointment, which she also cancelled less than one week prior to my visit.

Dr. Ahmadian is extremely thorough in evaluating her patients. I was impressed with the amount of time she spent with me during each appointment and the short amount of time I needed to wait to be seen on the day of my appointments. She always was able to answer my questions and was able to help me reduce my migraine occurrences as well as the symptoms when I did have a migraine. I would recommend her to anyone in the area. Had I not moved out of state, I would definitely still be a patient!

I have been seeing her for several years but recently the staff has made me feel like a drug addict for wanting refills of my pain medication. I mainly see her PA and hardly ever see the doctor. It is a very long wait to see the PA and it's around 3-4 months to get an appointment to see the MD.

I have been going to Dr. Ahmadian for Botox Injections every 3-months for over 2 years now due to Chronic Cluster Migraines. I must say she has been a Live Saver since I was getting these migraines 4-5 times per day, every day. She helped me through a crisis stage with the proper prescriptions and demostrated a lot of empathy as to what I was going through. She is available for consultation when needed and shows a high level of professionalism. Thank you Dr. Ahmadian.
