I would NEVER recommend Dr Zhai to anyone. I have a VNS implant for my seizures and I went there to get it charged. My mom had just passed away and she kept wanting to bring it up in conversation. It was unprofessional and rude of her. She also made a comment about how my pills must affect how smart I am. Don’t go to her, don’t have your friends or family go to her. Honestly I question why she’s in the medical field.

Poor ability to listen, poor insight
My father-in-law had an appointment, after waiting 8 months to get in, we were so hopeful that he would receive help in his clear progression of symptoms. Dr. Zhai, however, was dismissive, condescending, curt and actually argumentative with our family's concerns and observations. She declined to order testing for something that had merit and could have been be treated rather than allowed to continue to progress. It seemed that she was more interested in entering into a power struggle rather than concerning herself with his best interest. For all of her training, she seemed to be quite oblivious of family/spouse dynamics that can occur in a situation where dementia exists. This is NOT a doctor who listens to the patients/family's concerns and has no bedside manner or tact. This was so disappointing and the saddest part is that his quality of life hinged on someone like this. It would behoove her to realize that this is a person's life in question - not just merely her own ego.

I saw Dr. Zhai for MS symptoms. She spent about 10min with me, was in a hurry, and spoke too quickly for me to understand and process. She seemed to base her conclusion on one symptom instead of all of them, thus totally ignoring everything except the one she focused in on. I left the appointment overwhelmed and wondering what just happened. Maybe she's really good for those in her area of specialty, though I'm not sure what that is. She's certainly not good for those who need time to process.
