I scheduled cataracts surgery with Dr. Wexler and ordered the multifocal lenses for both eyes. Following the surgeries, I learned to my shock and surprise, that as a result of an avoidable office mistake, he implanted the wrong lenses – monofocal rather than the multi-focal lenses I ordered! I then had “lens replacement” surgery in one eye. Now, 6 months later, the vision in that eye is still not sharp. While I can read larger texts, reading smaller (newspaper) print with drugstore readers is imperfect, since each eye now has a different lens. Since I never needed reading glasses in 70 years of life, this change in my day-to-day experience, due to an egregious mistake, has been disruptive and frustrating. In addition to this egregious mistake, I have also found Wexler’s manner to be dismissive and belittling. While he may a skilled surgeon, I will not return to Dr. Wexler’s office and cannot recommend his services. He’s lucky I have not sued.

Dr. Wexler gave me a very surprising diagnosis and prescribed an over-the-counter remedy. After following his advice, I noticed on the next day that my symptoms were worse. He gave me a funny feeling at our consultation (he made some inappropriate jokes and just gave off a generally weird vibe), but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt as my doctor. I regret taking his advice now.

Dr. Wexler was very knowledgeable and reassuring about the LASIK procedure. The results of my surgery were excellent and recovery time was minimal. Dr. Wexler adequately informed me on how the procedure was going to do down and thoroughly answered all of my questions. His confidence and experience made me feel confident that everything was going to go off extremely well and indeed it did! Can't recommend him enough.
