Dr. Jeffrey Shije, MD

Dr. Shije is kind, brilliant and thorough. He takes the time to really explore every relevant avenue to get you an accurate diagnosis and provide the most effective treatment. He doesn't throw drugs at a problem and hope it helps, he performs thorough diagnostics to assist in finding the best treatment. He promotes healthy living and environmental changes to help aid in treatment which is uncommon in my experiences. He consults with other professionals, and isn't hesitant to perform more advanced diagnostics when the need arises. He's caring and considerate, and always makes time to contact patients as soon as the results are in. I've had nothing but exceptional care from Dr. Shije and for that, I'm thankful.

I seen Dr. Shije in Jacksonville, Fl at U of F Shands. I have never been so upset with a doctor in my life. He talked to me like I was stupid, like I was a child. I was referred by my podiatrist to see a neurologist due to lingering symptoms from a foot injury that dealt with a damaged nerve. He tells me, “well you haven’t even tried to figure out what is wrong, you haven’t even tried pain management yet. I could do a nerve conduction test but I probably won’t find anything. Told my husband to be quite so he could talk. Never in my life have I been so mistreated by a doctor, of all people. He hasn’t heard the last of me yet. I will make sure people know what kind of “Dr.” he is and hopefully steer them away from such a horrible person.

Fantastic diagnostician! Fantastic bedside manner. He really cares! We had full confidence and trust in everything he did and said. So grateful for him.

He is young, but he has very good diagnostic skills and connection to Barrow for referrals. I liked how he was very direct and told me exactly what he can do for me, as well as areas that he is not as experienced in. He was very willing to write referrals. Dr. Shije spent a lot of time going through my complicated history. I am glad that he is my neurologist. I did have to wait 6-8 weeks to see him as a new patient in the Prescott, AZ area.
