I have a parent who has been a patient with Dr Shea for a while now. Patient has had breathing issues for about 7 months now. Shortness of breath upon exertion and especially at night. Patient's cancer returned so we decided to change pulmonology Dr's to a MD Anderson Dr. After numerous test- walking test, echo, labs, x-ray, it was decided that patient needed oxygen. I am disappointed that symptoms were not addressed and testing was not done in Longview. I like Dr Shea. He has a great bedside manner but we are very disappointed in this issue being missed. I do not like to write reviews like this but I feel that patients should take this into consideration as they are choosing a dr.

Review CAT scan images of lungs.
Dr Shea explained everything in detail and showed me CAT scan images to further improve my understanding of his findings. He answered all my questions with facts and explained in detail short and long term results. Dr Shea was very pleasant and seemed very concerned about my health. I would highly recommend him .

Blames everything on Sleep Apnea
Very disappointed with his listening skills. Blames absolutely everything wrong on Sleep Apnea. Due to various reasons- I just don’t trust his evaluations! Even reported that he went over a test result when he did not even have results when he supposedly went over results with me.
