Left me in pain and gave me wrong lense.
On January 11, 2024 I had, what I thought was a routine cataract surgery, performed by Dr. Lozier. I was very happy as, after 60 years of being nearsighted, I’d FINALLY be able to have 20-20 eye lenses. After the surgery, I was sent home, and within hours experienced excruciating pain; a 15 out of 1 to 10! At 6 pm, Dr. Lozier phoned to see how I was doing, and I told him that I was curled in a ball of pain. He said to take something for the pain, which I already did, and to see him in the morning. The next morning, still in severe pain, he realized that my eye pressure was double and relieved the pressure. Later, during the 4th post-op surgery appointment, I complained that my vision was still fuzzy, neither distance nor close, but about 3-4 feet. He said “You’ll still need to wear glasses, I didn't give you a lense for distance.' I am scheduled to have surgery to correct the lense. Different doctor. Dr. Lozier caused me to go through another eye surgery! He should retire.

Mom has been seeing Dr. Lozier since he got this practice years and years ago. She’s 90 years old. She’s been having trouble with her eye feeling there’s something irritating inside. She was able to see him 2+ weeks ago. He said the eye was scratched and prescribed antibiotic ointment. A week or so later, she made another appointment at 4:30. While sitting in the waiting room with my brother, the “office manager” came out and abruptly said Dr would not be seeing anymore patients. This person needed to be schooled on patient etiquette!!!!! Some days later, mom left a message with the office for Dr. Lozier to return her call. To date, she hasn’t received his call. Yesterday afternoon I took her to see Dr. Le at North County Eye Center. Mom saw the tech who was very thorough. Dr Le came in and was extremely helpful. She does not have a scratch in her eye, but, a large dry patch which would feel like something inside. He explained everything and provided drops and ointment (not prescription!). This visit was 200% greater than Lozier’s operation!!! Needless to say, we would NOT recommend Lozier’s office to my worst enemy!!

Dr Lozier is extremely through. He checked every aspect of my vision. The staff is professional while being warm and courteous. I really like the way Dr Lozier talks. His voice is reassuring that his work is correct. I am glad to be a patent of his and would recommend this Dr.

I was very disappointed with Dr. Lozier. His assistant took my history, did an exam on me, dilated my eyes and told me he'd be with me shortly, I finally was called in. Dr. Lozier was cold, robotic and did a cursory exam on me and didn't "hear" me. I have NUMEROUS floaters in each eye, which are getting worse at an increasing rate and I have a LOT of difficulty reading. Dr. Lozier basically told me to "live with it". Upon further research, this doctor is WAY out of date on solutions available.
