After a quick dive into the google ocean of information, we happily stumbled upon Advanced Skin Treatment. Upon arriving at Dr. Lauber's office we were greeted by his friendly receptionist, and within a few minutes we met with Dr. Lauber. He is the consummate professional in his industry, he is HONEST, friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and he does not mince words. Did I mention he's HONEST!!! The appointment was for my significant other, her being a pharmacist recognizes a professional colleague when she sees one, and as we spoke with Dr. Lauber he soon realized her troubled mole was nothing more than that, just a small non cancerous mole on her arm. He did not charge us for a consultation, he could've, but he didn't...HONEST!! I’ve been going to Dr. Lauber for many years now, in fact I just saw him today for my annual skin check. Prior to Dr. Lauber I had spent $1000’s of dollars on acne treatments, both Rx and over the counter. I tried every med, topical and oral, with a -cycline at the end, nothing worked for my adult acne. I was hesitant about Accutane because like everyone else I thought negatively of it and was scared. I talked to Dr. Lauber about my fears, he started me on the lowest dose, and dispelled any additional worries I had. I took the medication as directed, called him when I had questions, and years later I am free of cystic acne. I’m also someone that worries about every freckle and strange spot on my skin. Dr. Lauber throughly checks my spots, freckles, and skin imperfections, but more importantly he gives me piece of mind that everything I am concerned about is normal. He has great chat & will tell you what you need to hear, good or bad. He’s a straight forward doctor. Highly recommend.

Dr. Lauber is amazing! I called him and needed to have my daughter seen right away and he gave us a same day appointment during his lunch hour. Upon arrival at the appointment, he immediately greeted my daughter and I with the utmost kindness, sincerity and humor. His diagnosis and prescription were spot on and we saw immediate improvements. Dr. Lauber's flexibility to a patients schedule is unmatched, we live out of town so he was willing to come in on Sundays for needed follow-up appointments. Dr Lauber was wonderful! He was professional, thorough, and exact on his diagnosis. I tried over the counter medication nothing worked. In fact it made it worse. His prescription worked completely in two days! What a relief! He spent time answering questions and never rushed the appointment.I highly recommend Dr Lauber.

Doctor Lauber is the best! He came in on Memorial Day at the last minute to treat me when I had an allergic reaction. He’s extremely professional and I couldn’t recommend him more.

Poor demeanor on the phone, he answers the office phone himself which is odd! Doesn’t accept common PPO insurances. Not sure where all the positive reviews come from...

I find Dr. Lauber to be outstanding.He is an USC School of Medicine graduate and an old school, one on one physician who dedicates himself to patient care 7 days a week, even answering his phone on Sunday.That is how I found him.I was living in an rural state outside if CA where medical care is sparse and appointment waits are 3 to 6 months.Seeking treatment for a life threatening illness, I Left him a message.He returned my call, followed up on 2 different occasions including Sunday and provided me with the name and phone number of a referral.Moreover, he speaks several languages.Truly a treasure.

Worse dermatologist I have ever been too. very rude and has no idea what he is doing. highly do NOT recommend. stay clear from this idiot.

Here are the points you need to know. He doesn't use a laser, performs a biopsy on what he removes, educated and board certified here in the USA, and he takes time to explain what, where and why thoroughly. Add to that, the fact that he actually answers the phone himself, doesn't charge you for followups or panicked phonecalls and remembers you and your condition ... means his level of care, his abilities and his level of professionalism is worth every penny. Best dermatologist for men, period.

If you are looking for an "old school" dermatologist who is personable, knowledgeable, caring, direct, and takes care of business, Dr. Lauber is your man. He is readily available by phone and by appointment. Dr. Lauber takes the time to explain your condition and the treatment options available, which he did for both myself and my children, then action is taken--none of the "wait and see approach" or time wasted on ineffective treatment strategies. We feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Lauber.

Dr Lauber's experience, ability to demistify diagnosis', and funny, outgoing, and comforting demeanor are just a few reasons why I would recommend. Setting appointments are easy. He is reasonable. And he is no nonsense which translates into receiving the best care possible.
