Dr. Jeffrey Laphen, MD

Dr. Laphen's office appears to engage in selective behavior as to whom they will accept as patients. This review is based on my experience as follows: my insurance listed this office as accepting new patients. I called and spoke with their front desk receptionist advising I was looking for a new primary care provider. She then requested my name, phone number and what medications I was on. I was then advised she will turn the information over to their office manager for review. I did not receive a phone call back. Since I am on medication for anxiety, it appears in my opinion, the office does not want to service those with mental health issues. This seems discriminatory to me. They also denied my ever calling their office to my insurance company when I filed a complaint regarding their behavior. I have a record of the call showing I spoke to the office for over 7 minutes. Shame on you and your staff, Dr. Laphen.

Not a fan of this office. Would like it better if the DR actually listened & made reasonable suggestions specific to one's condition. There's no attempt to develop a Doctor/Patient relationship. Office personnel often seem overworked & hurried which sadly shows in their interaction with patients. Currently searching for a new primary doctor.......

I have been a patient of Dr. Laphen's for ~10 years. He is an insightful, caring professional who actually talks to his patients, takes a whole person view and provides counseling and treatment that is on the mark. He is also a smart and insightful professional with a very engaging personality. The office team at both the Jamison and Doylestown offices are also helpful and highly competent. I did not want to rush my evaluation but after ten years I'm comfortable with a "5" rating, and that only because higher scores are not available.

Don't grow old under his care, you'll regret it.

My children and I have been seeing him for a few years now. He is a great doctor, very knowledgeable, explains everything and takes him time. We are never rushed if we have questions! My only “complaint” would be they way he speaks to you occasionally. It can come off very arrogant. Since it has only been on occasion, I let it slide since everything else is great. The front office staff can be difficult and unfriendly at times...but these days, unfortunately, it is the norm!

Never,- will do the opposite. Egotistical, condescending/minimizing tone toward patient concerns of bp, cardio disease, despite significant family hx, recommends lifestyle changes and minimal medication to address. I’m sorry- I don’t want to have a heart attack while I’m makkng “lifestyle changes”! Prescribe the right medication to get bp under control
